Quoting: minidouBaldur's Gate 3 FSR when ? :sad:I think the plan was to update BG3 with FSR2.2 at the same time as the PS5 release, but that didn't happen, so maybe they're now working on FSR3 to help with CPU bottlenecks (One can dream).

I like the update, but I honestly think they'd be better off removing microsd and adding ssd.

I'm looking forward to jumping again into Night City... but Baldur's Gate is still calling me (And I foresee that will keep doing so for at least hundred hours or so)

My only consolation is that climate change will kill us all, or I hope at least me, before MS can buy all the industry.

Quoting: dibzConsidering how the people at the top sold so much of their stock prior to the announcement, they knew what the reaction would be like. I suppose it's possible they underestimated it figuring themselves too big to fail.I'm really hoping they get charged with insider trading offense.
Hopefully people just move on from the slimy company and be done with it.

Patch 2 for Baldur's Gate 3 coming with 'major performance improvements'

I just started Act 2, by the time I get to Act 3 the patch will be released. Right now, I'm more impatient for FSR2 coming cause I'm going to spend a few days with the Deck only.
A lot of my friends are also playing several characters and doing Act 1 only, but I can't do that. I think investing in one character during the full play through suits me better, and then start over.

This is really sad news. From them having suffered mentally due to the multi-year projects, to closing. When smaller studios like this close is when the reality of the industry hits, and it's rather depressing.
I hope they get better with the support of professionals and their family, and wish them the best in the future. Shadow Gambit it's on my wishlist, and will be purchasing after I finish BG3.

Quoting: LoftyI’ve got a 5700xt and most games run very well at 1440. Ray Tracing would be nice, but I think I will wait until the 8000 series for a proper upgrade, and hopefully better contained TPDsQuoting: TheRiddickThese new AMD cards are NOT good upgrades for people using the 6700/6800 cards. But are they more efficient if they are barely faster than the 6 series ? I mean my 6700xt is 12gb 192bit just like the 7770xt, But the difference is that the 6700xt is 186w TDP and the 7700xt is 245w TDP, which is a sizeable increase if you live in a expensive energy climate or a hot climate to boot. Some people have argued you can undervolt a 7700xt to maybe 200W to make it more reasonable, but by that same Token i have my 6700xt undervolted and i barely see 145w for total draw. i can actually game without overly concerning myself over heat or energy costs. Given i game at 1440p@60 most of the time the entire system sits between 145-165w in typical gaming scenarios.
AMD has even made sure people understand these are for the 5000 series or below for upgrade. I see these as being almost like a 6700/6800 refresh, or a 1.5 upgrade in some sense since they are just barely faster and just more efficient cards.
That said i agree with the fact that they might be a good replacement for the 5 series. Id personally try to find a cheap 6700xt/6800 series on a deal and undervolt it, should last a good few years.
