As a gamer, all changes that help me playing more and better (and spending less) are welcome.

But right now the first thing I want from Valve is to ease the taxes to smaller companies and indie devs. And I’m not a dev myself.

Whilst I’m not a big fan if survival games, I find rather interesting the steampunk aesthetics. If there is a demo planned perhaps I can try it out eventually.

I wish it's possible to run Shenmue collection nicely without having to tinker so much soon.

Considering how Valve are perfectly fine with the Black Mesa fan game, I can't see them having a problem with this either.
Though true, not quite the same I think :)
What makes you say that? Put it this way, has Valve ever gone after a fan game?
They haven't, and hope they never do, but it's not the same the remake of their first game that a new iteration of their most hyped/expected game. Obviously I don't want Valve to cancel any fan-made game but I would rather understand more the cancellation of Project Borealis than if they had done it with Black Mesa. If that makes sense :)

The only game I remember finishing this year is Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun so I will say that has been my game of the year. However, I have also invested few long hours to Everspace, if it wasn't for being so crap at it probably would have been even more and some others I can't think of at the moment.

Valve have one more Steam Play update out before the end of 2018 with 3.16-6

Quoting: FeistGrrr...I wish they could hurry up and make "Batman: Arkham Asylum & City" playable/whitelisted. "Sleeping Dogs", "Mafia II & III", "GTA IV & V" are also titles that I wish they'd prioritize for the whitelist. Same thing with "Fallout III/NV/4"
Fallout NV works flawlessly out of the box for me. I guess Fallout 3 will be similar.
