First-person adventure about sunken Russian sub KURSK to have a delayed Linux release

Quoting: FeistFelt very sceptical about this idea but I have to admit the video does look good. I assume that the objective is to escape the sub with military secrets before you-know-what happens.

Still, I always feel strange playing in an actual historical scenario. It's one thing if it's meant to be an alternate history like "Wolfenstein: The New Order" but otherwise I just wonder why they didn't simply make up a completly fictional scenario like "The Hunt for Red October" for example.
Games that are based in historical scenarios are a great way to manipulate and change certain aspects of what in reality happened. In certain cases I also feel strange with historical setups... and even with fictional if the research of the devs is good enough.

According to the guy who reported the rendering bug, you either need to use wine-git (or apply the stub posted here [External Link] to 3.17) because there's a function missing otherwise. Apparently the stub breaks Steam on Wine though.
Thanks :) Probably will wait for a more stable/less fiddly option in that case.

I would be surprised if they had anything left. I think the whole this time next week thing was meant as a hint of stuff to come before Thursday.
That's unlucky! I was really expecting a contract with some new company :/

I saw a stream of Tacoma a while back that had a couple of the people that worked on it as guests (forget who exactly), and if there's ever a game that would benefit by a commentary track, that's it. The "ON3 V3IN" running gag on its own would make it worth it. If you do get it, take the extra time to really poke around and check all the little details.
It's been on my wishlist for quite sometime now, just waiting for a time when I can actually enjoy it :) And perhaps give the developers full price for the game too. Thanks for the tip, will do as you say!

Always happy to see more people trying the OS. Independently whether they stay or not, I think it will do eventually good. Perhaps some of the hatred beteween OSes can diminish too.

Egosoft to launch X4: Foundations on November 30th, hopefully with a Linux beta build

I was always interested in X3 but never gave the leap to try, mainly afraid of its vast content. Perhaps X4 could be the one this time.
