Quoting: Liam DaweIt's more like you missed the point entirely to focus on capitalism. No, I don't think I missed the point. I just happen to look at this topic differently. For me, this is not strange at all. For you, it is.
Quoting: Liam DaweIt's just a figure of speech, to point out how strange this all is for Linux gamers.English is not my native tongue, but are "weird" and "strange" not pretty much synonymous in this context? Or am I missing what you're saying?
Quoting: Liam DaweAlso, their exclusivity absolutely did work out, God of War for example sold tens of millions of copies on PlayStation, so that's entirely besides the point. That makes no sense to me. If the exclusitivity did work out, why are they making things less exclusive over time? This is not beside the point for me, and shouldn't be beside of anyone, because this is literally the topic. I honestly have no idea why you suddenly state that this is "besides the point".

I'm not sure why this is a sign of a "weird world". This is just capitalism working as expected. The exclusitivity didn't work out as they wanted it to, so they change their plans to make more money. Not weird at all.

Quoting: Ham_TaroWhy are those company funding Blender?I guess because Blender is a fundamental element in game development, and more games developed means more business for these companies.

I don't care as well. I just unsubbed from the news letter, and I don't think that I want to buy anything from them anymore. They really died when IGN bought them.

I really look forward to the third part, I enjoyed both parts, but especially the second one. I like the style, but for some reason, this version looks a little less good to me. I hope they have worked on the abysmal performance of the game. A game with technically simple graphics shouldn't need such a beefy computer.

Quoting: tuubiNo, it's still the previous version. I guess it might be GOG's famously slow QA process delaying the release.Well, CDPR has to make sure that everything that gets released on their platform is free of bugs. That takes its time. Does anybody know when they will release Cyberpunk on GOG? ;)

I just realized that I really don't care about achievements in the way they were intended. If the achievements are *inside* the game or displayed via a third party frontend (Steam for example) doesn't interest me. For me, those are like quests so to speak. I don't care about them being visible for others online.
Imagine the Witcher 3 having an online display for the quest progress of ALL quests in the game, for every player. I don't give a shit, neither for random users, nor my friends. Nobody of us takes a look at those statistics other than their own.

Maybe it is a bit similar with what Morgan Freeman said about "Black History Month". There is no "black history". There is a history of the human being. That's it.

Quoting: ZlopezI'm just trying to say that pointing on the difference is not a good way to remove it from society. It's the opposite. I'm not saying it's bad to be proud who you are, but I don't think anybody needs special month to prove this.I see it the same way. It's a bit demotivating that people will try to frame you as a person that ignores existing racism. It's not ignoring what is. I rather see it as a way to come faster to a place where non of that matters anymore. The place, or rather the time, we all agree we should eventually end up at.
