My daughter and I are not allowed to play Skullgirls any more... my wife say we get way too competitive ;-)
DOOM 64 is now available to stream on Google Stadia

IMHO, Stadia shouldn't be mentioned 'in a place like this' as it really isn't Linux gaming!

Quoting: mosPS "works well in Proton" should be on the offtopic list in a place like this. it's getting worse..Proton is a piece of Linux software which enables Windows games to run on Linux so I would suggest it is on-topic in a place like this.

Quoting: mosThere's no native version of this game, unless you mean Doom64EX which is not official.Quoting: rregeerHave it on stream. Works really good with proton.there's a perfectly working native port tho.

Still playing Dead Cells, which is fast becoming one of my top five games ever!
Proton-wise, I'm playing XCOM: Chimera Squad which seems to suffer from the same bugs as reported in the Windows version. It *could* be good if the devs listen to the feedback.
I've also been experimenting with Aliens: Colonial Marines and managed to get it running in Proton 5.6-GE-2. Using the crack for the binary and the TemplarGFX v6 mod it is now quite playable!

Certainly not condoning the leakage, but maybe studying the code will aid those students wishing to become coders in the future.
What have you been playing recently? Come tell us what you think about it

I was playing Borderlands 3 but then I got sidetracked by Ara Fell: Enhanced Edition. Eleven hours into it and I'm hooked: it's a rather good pixel-RPG with engaging characters, cool combat and some reasonably hard puzzles. There are quite a few secrets and side-quests to be found, too. Recommended!

In some ways I miss the CRT, but LED monitors are much more convenient for me these days.

Quoting: Dunc(I'm seriously considering going back to a CRT. In fact, I'm actually using a small 14" one as a secondary monitor at the moment so I can have livestreams on in the background to take my mind off... er, Current Events. I'd forgotten, but the image quality on those things is amazing.)I used to have an Iiyama 19" CRT with a fancy flat screen (it had two very feint bars across the image which was part of the flattening process!). The actual image was amazing compared to the flat-screen jobs I've had since!

I've completed the demo and am very much looking forward to this game :-)
As mentioned in some of the Steam reviews, there were some serious bugs back in February with enemies swarming the player but this was quickly fixed. You discover some of the more interesting portions of the game as you progress such as the clock feature which means that certain events (such as the appearance of some particularly tough enemies in an 'arena') only occur at certain times.
The game is very hard but not unfair and the checkpoints are reasonably well-placed. Highly recommended from this gamer!
