An update on INSOMNIA: The Ark for Linux, still coming but no ETA
1 Jan 2019 at 7:01 pm UTC

The game 'runs' on Wine/Proton, though the FPS is often criminally poor (it has improved with the 1.4 update a little).

Some of the mission logs have yet to be translated and some of the inventory images are still placeholders. However, underneath all that is a pretty impressive and deep RPG story which I am thoroughly enjoying at the moment!

I'm definitely looking forward to Hellpoint, Jupiter Hell, We Happy Few, Indivisible and SS4 (of course!). Still got a load of unplayed games from the recent Steam sale, plus several LEGO games to play with my daughter :-)

Quoting: liamdaweOuch, another botched release? Was hoping that wouldn't happen after The Witcher 2.
Works fine on my OpenSUSE Tumbleweed system. The videos are rather lumpy but the gameplay is fairly smooth on my GTX 970.
Yes, they did multiple patches and so now it should work.
Ah, fairy 'nuff :-)

I can't even get past the first boss in Dark Souls III. Clearly I am useless :-)

Quoting: YoRHa-2BWhy do people insist on Denuvo not working on Wine? It's true that some recent-ish games don't run, but pretty much all Denuvo games that came out in the past couple of months work just fine.
Hitman II has a new version of Denuvo and whilst the training mission works, I'm not willing to shell out just yet to see if the main campaign works!

Quoting: mylkawhy not shadow of the tomb raider and hitman 2 ?

also batman origin, styx, flame and the flood and prey
I hope they do not add shadow of the tomb raider and hitman 2. Games we may get ports of should not be purchased using steam play imo.
The full version of Hitman II has Denuvo so is unlikely to work via Proton at the moment. Best to wait for a port.

Dark fantasy shooter 'Apocryph' released recently with Linux support, it's messy

Sadly, no update to this game since v1.04 back in late June. There is dev silence in the Steam forum and it's beginning to look abandoned :-(
