Quoting: robvvI recently noticed that the suyu gitlab repo has been closed,
How? When? I'm looking at it now and it doesn't look closed.
This post [External Link] seems to explain the situation.

I recently noticed that the suyu gitlab repo has been closed, too. Computers are supposed to be learning and creative tools, and instead we have this walled-garden situation created by greedy companies. Maybe devs should host their repos in countries that are not too bothered about what Nintendo says...

Quoting: MacTavishMeanwhile the steam client still sucks on linux. When a new revamped Wayland native Linux Steam client?
Examples? It runs very well on my Plasma/Wayland setup and the only issue I've had is with GPU accelerated rendering, which seems to be a bit unstable.

Damn them! This Metroidvania looks right up my street, and so onto the wishlist it goes. I have neither the time nor the money to play all the games I want, but this one is another that calls to me :-)

Quoting: rifergomI don't see how using other operating systems jeopardizes their online service, and it makes me wonder if there is some interest in Windows being the main platform, since it is easier and more susceptible to be used to collect user data or other more dubious purposes like mining, for example.
I think you've answered your own question here. The 'Linux-ban' has nothing to do with cheating and everything to do with locking the subscriber to that platform. The Windows OS is already tailored to report back to MS HQ so it's an ideal business case for games publishers to work with. You can be sure that the telemetry information isn't transmitted in order to keep your system running smoothly.

I'll remove my tin-foil hat, now.

I've spent a few hours on GreedFall over the last couple of days, and I'm quite enjoying it. Seems like a solid RPG so far, though it's a shame that there's no proper jump mechanism. My thumb hits the space bar and I get an action menu instead :-)
Apparently, GreedFall II is due to be released soon.

There are suggestions on the Steam forums for GTA V to simply install Windows on the Steam Deck! Oh, okay then...

Interesting that the Steam store page [External Link] mentions Denuvo. Presumably this will be for Windows rather than Linux, though I wonder if some form of DRM will be included in the Linux build?
