Not a good year for linux games as 2016 was but I'm hoping better next one
Happy Holidays

Here's another way to look at the Linux market share on Steam
3 December 2017 at 12:50 pm UTC

Personally, I had a bug due to different xbox360 driver and I had to reinstall My linux I wasn't happy, but it happen.
The fact is that I want to install next ubuntu 18/04 which will replace xorg by wayland ( as I understand ? ), so I play on my dual boot windows yet.

Otherwise, last year I buy so many games, I think I wasn't the only one with that game bulimia.
This year I realise that I play less than I could believe, so I bought less games.

Also It wasn't a great year to linux ports as was last one.
I still have a wish list, and many of those games in are windows only.

Hopefully wine team continue their good work

Nice reflection, I like these investigations.

Best regards.

Outskirts is a colourful, clever and difficult bullet-hell shooter that's now on Linux

Yeah I tested it last year in a french game convention, it's really a smooth shooter.
Mouse gameplay feels good and also inovative.

I'm not a fan of 2d shooting games but this one is really great

One of Valve's choices of games to highlight for Steam Machines is more than a little silly

So many people and press write about ARK I bought it regarding their trailers, it's so a lie, a deception.
They made a spin-off and they sell add on, but their game need to be polish, it's so far from what I expect from a video game, and they sold it. open games do as well for free.

DayZ opened the pandora box, and now the hell burn us, pain and suffer will be our eternity.
Damned you players from all this world, games are now ...

Yeah me either Don't want to finish things, do with

I like tests, I mean it would be great, maybe to highlight them and treat them differently from news.
I know it represent a certain work,
I just claim I like tests.

Developer of 'Steam Marines' talks sales, Linux represented 2% over the lifetime of it

I didn't read what all wrote, but this is my opinion,
general video games news spoke few month ago about a CRASH from business:
There are so many indies and the market is saturated by games.

So linux buyers supported a lot independants studios, and I think this was a part of their popularity.
I add that: crowfunding system follow the donations to support, which came with linux, and open source mentality.

But now what we need on linux are AAA games, I'm sure about it.
Vulkan and wayland are very good news the future of linux gaming.

I have 170 games on my steam account and 90 support linux, I bought them especially since a year.
But I have no TIME to play them.

And I still buy some, mostly to support developers work.
I look indies with distance. I have so many arcade games which are waiting on my library.

It sounds familiar that linux gamer ask for indies about a linux version.
Me again , I don't buy indies which are not on linux, it's buying criteria, but I won't ask dev about it.
I think that should be in their process, like the subtitles for example.

2% of games sales can be a lot of money if they sold a lot.
No one is to blame

Long time I didn't wrote here, thx for your work guys
