I am actually considering one (apart from couch-gaming) as an energy efficient browsing and media machine in docked mode. Should be way cheaper than having a full blown desktop running for hours for these minor tasks.

Quick switch of sound devices? - finally!
Now all I would want is proper toolbars and menus in applications and some common functionality to fill them with,
some sensible option concerning height of Window Title Bar and the option to remove of random icons from said bar and I might actually be tempted to give it another look.

What a good opportunity to show that one is not willing to give them money until they address the mess they have made recently.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyIt might be a while since I last tried it. Mate's been pretty comfy.Yeah, got similar feelings towards Cinnamon, though Mate and Xfce are also quite nice. Anyway, if that was your hurdle feel free to have a look again - you will not be disappointed. ;-)

Quoting: Purple Library GuyUnless I completely misunderstood you - this has been working for quite a while.Quoting: GuestLooking to jump to Mint 21 Cinnamon once it's out of beta.Say, do you happen to know if Cinnamon supports a toolbar on the bottom and one on the side these days? I'm using Mate because last couple of times I tried Cinnamon it wouldn't do that. I like using the bottom one mostly for window list and the side one for launchers.

Unfortunately this is not something that can be dealt with by donating a little money while sitting at your computer. This is something where people have to go outside an make their voices heard and their numbers seen. From the outside It is sad to see the US so dug in on it's internal frontlines in recent years that few seem to be able to see what is fair or just anymore, let alone act upon it. I hope one day you will be able to break out of this two sided power struggle and find your heart again to work towards a better future for everyone.
