I will point again, that intellectual property is a government regulation, one that, coincidentally, is the root cause why many companies don't release the source code and assets of the game when it's passed it's utility in the market. It's not that they need to be forced to do so, but i'm against artificially rising the cost of doing so, which is exactly what "intellectual property" does, it's a textbook example of the tragedy of the anticommons (an actual tragedy, not like the capitalist nursery fable that is the tragedy of the commons)

Reading the comments, it seems weird to me that people yell, regulation! at something like this, when the "intellectual property" is a form of regulation in the first place.

I'm not particularly fond of regulation, because i think it's mostly patching the symptoms rather than treating the cause (usually state-enforced monopolies like "intellectual property")
