Not to spoil it, but Vampyr from DONTNOD is just around the corner and I haven't read anything about Linux version or port.
So don't expect this LiS sequel to be available on Linux either.

I wonder if it will work under SteamOS, as the Nvidia driver in SteamOS is the ancient 367.27.
Valve should stop using the SteamOS icon, as more and more games require newer Nvidia drivers than available in SteamOS.

Quoting: Crazy PenguinWiiU has a bigger market share then Linux :(Puts things into perspective, doesn't it? :(
WiiU has sold ~14 Million Units and at the moment we have currently only ~2 Million Linux Players on Steam.
NVIDIA 381.22 driver released with lots of bug fixes and newer Vulkan support

Edit: I wonder if game devs, e.g. Feral, can put some pressure on Valve to update Nvidia drivers in SteamOS.

Quoting: tuubiThat doesn't mean I'd have the gall to tell our customers to accept glaring, user experience spoiling bugs and glitches in our products. But to be fair, ARK is still an unfinished game. I guess someone who pays for Early Access should expect beta quality at best.Honestly, I'd rather accept an excuse "this game is huge and complicated, hence bugs" than "it's been two years now since first people bought the game, but we're still in development, so you cannot complain about bugs". :)

I like their comment about Steam runtime: a standard set of libraries to link to is something that makes cross-distribution support much easier.
I wonder if Valve could talk (talks?) with developers and porters of games for Linux how to maintain and upgrade the runtime.

Dark Souls is one thing I wish we had on Linux, so Hellpoint is more than welcome :)

I loved Train Fever and Transport Fever has been on my wish list for a while now. That said, I'll wait a little longer, if the performance on Linux is still terrible.

That said, if you sunk 1000 hours into the game, it has to be better than good enough - even on Linux :)

Quoting: GuestWhy should they at this stage? We have already paid and Wildcard probably doesn't target any more Linux customers. Ark surfed the early wave of Linux gaming, we were buying whatever was released.Quoting: GuestI think the more we request an ARk fix for linux maybe we will get one! Or am I just crazy hopeful because I love this game?!Unfortunately, overly hopeful. I bought this game the day it was released for linux and sunk about 1000 hours into it. I ran my own server for about a year and a half. I've participated in every AMA on reddit since launch, I've emailed them, tweeted to them, posted on their forums, etc.
Since release, they have not released ONE SINGLE BUG FIX specific to linux users. Not even one- and that isn't an exaggeration.
Studio Wildcard does not give a fraction of a fuck about linux. Hate to break it to ya. All they care about is Windows and Xbox

I played Ark yesterday on my 5 years old budget Windows PC and it worked and looked better than on my Steam Machine with GeForce 970.
