Game locks up with black screen. Tried with 390.48 and 396 Beta drivers. Tried with gamemode enabled and disabled. Started on Fedora 26 and upgraded to 27. Tried with SELINUX in permissive mode. No real useful crash info, just segmentation fault 11.

Quoting: NotSoQTI really wish we had more games like NWN and NWN2. As today I'm still unable to drag my D&D gang into NWN, but this is surely a stimulus, with or without toolset (it would slow down the things a lot but...).

Also, I found this some years ago and I guess it's pertinent to share now for anyone who cares:
A reimplementation of BioWare's Aurora engine (and derivatives). Pre-pre-alpha :P [External Link]
DrMcCoy frequently posts here about his endevours on Xoreos! Here's a search of GOL for those articles: https://www.gamingonlinux.com/index.php?module=search&q=xoreos, although he does mention that they're mainly crossposts from the changelogs he writes for the project itself.
I've been watching Xoreos for a while, and OpenRW. Unfortunately there is no telling if the experience will ever be close to the original. OpenMW is awesome though.

Quoting: m2mg2I'm hoping this isn't the shot away from the Feral Radar, but it seems likely as Feral have ported the other Warhammer 40,000 games. I'm hoping for another non RTS game from Feral.
As I wrote pretty clearly, this is not from Feral.
Did you? I'm sorry, I didn't see that. I've read it at least three times and don't see it. Must be going blind, or dumb.
has just been announced by Bulwark Studios and Kasedo Games, it's due this year with Linux support.
Is it not clear enough?
I saw the announcement info, I just didn't read it as though they stated it would be an in house port. My bad.
I didn't infer it either so don't feel bad. I don't think assuming that readers will know those company names and know that it means that Feral is not porting the game is "pretty clear"... But I ain't real bright either, so there's that..
Isn't it a good thing that it isn't Feral porting it? Don't get me wrong, they make excellent ports, but I would MUCH rather see the Linux version be developed at the same time by the same people. And hopefully released at the same time as all the other platforms. If Linux gaming is ever to grow, we need this. I am sure there will always be a place for the porting houses, but I would love for one day to have them hired as contractors to help develop the games for Linux rather than porting them after the fact.
Yes! In house ports are great. Feral is awesome, but they can only port so many games. We need more.

MXGP3 - Motocross is showing new signs of Linux support

Quoting: GuestIt's hilarious that there are people who actually give a shit what system the binaries are compiled on!
You should just ignore people that aren't the slightest bit interested in your product. They aren't going to buy it and who cares? You should focus on the ones that do want the product. I buy them and I appreciate it. A lot of the negativity came out of Witcher 2, which was HORRIBLE when it was first released. That mistake was more than made up for but there is lingering resentment with some that just aren't willing to move past it. If you want those customers make native ports, if not keep doing what your doing. I think what VP does is awesome! I'll be buying MXGP3.

Games using oss are a real pain. I've been having real good luck launching games with padsp. I can even launch games with other audio running.

Get thinking, as Feral Interactive are teasing another new Linux port

Quoting: MohandevirMight be too obvious, but Bioshock Remastered confirmed? Looks way too much like Father Comstock to me.

"O VAIN ILLUSION OF GLORY AND GRANDEUR"... Sounds like we could be talking about Columbia/Rapture here.
When you consider that Bioshock and Bioshock Inifinite are tightly intertwined...

If it's not Bioshock remastered but ROTR, Feral guys are really cruel! :)

Maybe both games?! Lol!
Yeah the Mac Icon kinda throws Bioshock Remastered out. It could be Bioshock 2 remastered, Feral hasn't released that one for MAC yet.

This was my thought as well. I would be happy if it were Bioshock or Tomb Raider. Not wanting another RTS. If it is Bioshock I will buy F1 2016 since I already own Bioshock Remastered (got it since I've owned the original from way back). If it is an RTS I'll have to pass. I already bought 2 RTS I'm not really interested in just to support Feral.
