Nearly five years after the Kickstarter, Carmageddon still isn’t on Linux despite the stretch goal being reached

I know it's more complicated and not this black and white but from my perspective it seems like it's always the same story, a lot of the problems come about because they see the Linux / Mac versions as something to be "tacked on at the end". No one gives them much thought until it is time to start and only then do they realise that "oops we didn't use something that's multi platform friendly" OR "Oh thats going to require way to much work".

You don't for example promise to build someone a two story house and only think about what's required for the second story when you have completed the first!

Very irresponsible of you Liam! I am going to have to go play this game now which may entail a windows purchase. :D

Master an angry mob in Okhlos, now on Linux with some thoughts thrown in
20 Aug 2016 at 12:09 am UTC

Admittedly I only came into the stream maybe 15 mins before Liam changed to Deadbolt but from what I saw I think that the game just lacked some structure and direction.

A bit of mob development might make it a little more interesting currently it seemed a little bit random (although I suppose that's what an angry mob is). Perhaps if they added some mob management mechanics and made the whole process a bit clearer. e.g. Formations, unit types, unit levels, promotion etc.

Needs more challenges/special encounters. The boss battle was a bit ridiculous. Perhaps some VS mode or something. Mob on mob action would be fun haha!

Change up some of those market/recruit menus as they were a bit confusing. Tooltips go a long way.

Life is Strange episode 1 will be free from tomorrow, no exact word on Linux release yet

Quoting: OLucasZanellaThat's great. Just remember guys, even if it's free, don't "buy" it yet, make sure it will count as a Linux sale.
My thoughts exactly.

I bought it cheap probably back in 2014 sometime on a sale, it always ran so badly and had lots of bugs I could never get into it. It was early access so that didn't shock me. I fired it up the other day and they have certainly made a lot of improvements.

Still not sure if it is my kind of game haha, what I do wonder is how long it will stay in EA for. Does anyone know if he has any sort of rough release window planned?

Playing through Pillars right now and really enjoying it, just added both DLCs. I really struggled with the combat in pillars to begin with due to how busy it is. Once I got my positioning right things were a lot easier.

This game looks really awesome and I am super excited now, damn you Liam for showing me this haha!

Quoting: BeamboomThe only thing that really matters in these games though: Are there any players?
Never had an issue finding a game :)
Games are a little sparse when I play because of my time zone and ping's on some servers can be a little high but thats mostly a location thing.

Very fun to play and dirt cheap really for what you get, graphics look awesome and it performs well.
