Quoting: Comandante Ñoñardo
Quoting: ElectricPrismor just make a category called windows and add those gsmes to it and collapse it. no big deal.
Or a category called Proton. Is what I'm going to do in my own tests.
I have "Proton", "Proton - works" and "Proton - fails" categories. Then I can see at a glance what I have, versus what I have actually tried.

I've been mining through my humble bundle purchases looking for Steam keys I never claimed as there was no Linux version around. Cross reference those titles with the compatibility reports and then activate the titles which have a chance of working. The results so far have added roughly 40 titles to my Steam account. Not all of these are Windows-only titles - some of the games I either missed first time around or the Linux ports came later!

Open world tactics game 'Frozen Synapse 2' to hopefully release this month, new gameplay video

I have been fiddling with this on the closed beta. There has been a lot of cleaning up of the interface, dialogue and quality of life improvements. It has a number of improvements over the original Frozen Synapse, including the Focus Diamond which gives you a much better shot of taking down an enemy coming through a doorway or diving between two pieces of cover. It's about time I gave the latest version a proper run through (too much time spent playing Dying Light recently!).

Dirt Rally gets the thumbs up for me, although it is FAR more fun with a wheel (even a cheap one like my ancient Logitech Formula Force GP).

Best moment so far: racing the Welsh Rally in a Mini Cooper, going a bit too fast and running slightly left off into a ditch, from which I over-corrected and went up the bank on the right side, barrel-rolled the car in the air and landed on the wheels, keeping going (shaken not stirred). A little achievement flashed up bottom right - "Nailed It!".

A look at what's currently on sale and good for Linux gamers

Just picked up the Signal from Tolva. It'll have to wait on the shelf for a few months though - I'm in the early days of playing Dying Light ...

A quick look at some good Linux games on sale right now

Finally picked up Dying Light Enhanced Edition in the Chrono.gg daily sale - so far, I'm liking most of what I see, although my parkour skills need a lot of work (took me four tries to set the trap on the signal pole in the rail yard in the prologue - I kept imagining hearing the infected laughing at me...).

What are you playing on Linux this weekend and what do you think about it?

Rise of the Tomb Raider (now at 47% complete!).

Possibly some Terraria (my children have started playing it again and I had forgotten what a massive time sink that game is)

Much as I love playing Rocket League, I gave up in it because of toxic idiots ranting about losing a team game blaming everyone except themselves and quitters leaving as soon as the first goal goes in. If things have improved on that front, I might give it another go. But I'd need to be convinced that poisonous comment levels have dropped.

The Linux Dev Lead at Feral Interactive is moving onto something new

Funnily enough I'm finally playing Rise of the Tomb Raider (17% complete) and it's been a fun ride so far, although I'm being bad at being sneaky ending in massive fights ... :-)

Kudos to Marc and all the best - I just hope the future involves more Linux games!

On the long animation times, modders are already disecting the configs to change the animation speeds and take out the pauses.

Robocraft Royale could see Linux support if their release goes well

Quoting: 14In a game where you can fly, Battle Royale would feel pretty much like elimination. Maybe they can make it interesting somehow.
The last place you want to be in a 100-player Royale match is up in the sky, unless you like being eliminated in the first 30 seconds of any match. Staying around cover and limiting the number of folks who can shoot you is pretty critical.
