Not because of the freedom, open source, or privacy concerns (he figures in this day and age MS/Google/Facebook know all about him anyway). He just wanted to play games, and Proton made that possible.

Quoting: rustybroomhandleMy partner just switched to Linux 100%, even though she can't run Photoshop anymore. We're currently playing Final Fantasy XIV together. That's the real value of Proton right there.I have a friend who did the same. Got sick of Windows and switched to Linux cause he could still play his games. That's it.

Quoting: scaineI wonder what excuses developers/publishers will dream up to release on Stadia, but not release on Linux directly...? Pfff. They'll think of something, no doubt.I imagine something like "our only supported Linux platform is Google stadia", followed by a suggestion to play it in a browser.

The art and animation is beautiful. I liked the voice work, and yes even Buzz. Its a very Romanian game, he's (half) Romanian. Makes sense!
The lip sync is sometimes a bit off putting, but easily looked past. If you enjoyed the old Lucasarts games, I think you will love this.

That's good. I played the demo and it worked perfectly with Proton, but a native version is always the preferred option.

Quoting: tofuheadMicrosoft owns inXile studio? so what makes them qualify as indie developers, and asking support in fig? They had crowdfunded this game on Fig a long time before Microsoft bought them up (and Obsidian).

Quoting: KimyrielleinXile is a studio that promised Linux support for their last game and (to this date) didn't deliver anything but empty promises. The new patch (or directors cut, whatever it is) for Bards Tale *should* have Linux support. Wouldn't surprise me if that's the last Linux version we see from them, but who knows.

Quoting: thewhoI like such games very much. Last one i've played was Thimbleweed Park and Fester Mudd. Any other suggestions beside the "original old" ones?Mages Initiation and Quest for Infamy are both homages to the Quest for Glory series.
