Guys wut the hell? I bought this and it has no support for multiple controllers. I had to use the Steam Overlay and assign two SC to different keyboard profiles. It works but seriously?! If it wasn't for steam this would be unplayable in co op.

I supported all of their previous kickstarters except this one. I like the guys and they always delivered. But they are animators not developers. I welcome their linux "stretch goal" but until I see it done I remain skeptical since it's not really up to them.

I'm glad to see Stellaris development proceeding so well. The AE decadence mechanic was especially needed imho. However my Stellaris stays mothballed until they rework the combat system (which they promised already, so it's a finite wait).

In my opinion we should be happy of the Paradox DLC politic. Complex strategy games are difficult to develop. For what I see developers never nails them with the vanilla release, it always takes one or two years of additional development with the feedback of an active player base before they become mature. DLCs allow companies to cover the costs necessary for the to produce the games we like. Without DLCs strategy games would not exists. Not at least at the same level of what we have now. Stuff like CK2 and EU4 could never exists in a DLC free world. Outside Paradox Civ 5 comes to my mind as a title that sucked at release and became a masterpiece thanks to DLC sustained development.
It's not DLCs that I complain about Paradox. It's the fact that they never reduce prices of older titles. And to think that they even tried to increase them. That's when they showed their true colors. I believe that they really deserved all of the backlash shitstorm. Even if I loved and continue to love their games after that episode I see them under a different light.

Paradox are now doing their own game client for downloads, cloud saves, statistics and so on

I use Steam so this thing has not much value for me. I understand though that they'd like to have Steam services also on other (un)platforms they sell on to and I welcomed their company wide infrastructural projects.
The thing is I don't like launchers. It's an additional click away from my game, launchers go against every modern rule of usability and user friendliness. I can't really understand why game houses are so stubborn with them. Old management I guess. I doubt a millenial would come out with such an idea. Anyway Paradox already uses launchers for each one of their games so I guess in the end having a unified one instead of many will not change anything compared to now.
So in the end I'm just disappointed that they didn't used this chance to get rid of launchers entirely.

Why do you take it so personally? It's just trash press. It's not meant to divulge any new or useful information. Nor to provide hindsight in the future market trends. The aim of the writer is only to leverage human weaknesses. He writes articles that implicitly praises the vast majority of the readers (after all 95% of users are on Windows, and so are the potential readers) for their shopping choices, confirming that they did right choice, that they are smart, and thus prompting their brains to release dopamine so they may come back another day for another dose.

The dream would be to co op with two dancepads once I have the space to do it. But I keep finding bad linux reviews for what concerns user controls for the vanilla version of this game. I wanted to know if something changed with the DLC.

Quoting: Purple PuddingIf you manage to play the game with it stream It on twitch for your fellow penguins!Sure. But I need a proper house first. And a job to sustain it... Later this year hopefully. XD
