Techland haven't decided if Dying Light 2 will be on Linux

I thought that by now, devs would have started programming with multiplatform in mind from the very start.
Not doing so, shows where MAC and GNU/Linux are at.

I honestly am worried for Liam's DB server. It's gonna explode!

Jokes aside.
It would be fine for the old titles to be stuck as Steam-only, if Feral did release future ones to more than just Steam (no stores mentioned!).
Well that or push for Valve to finally add 64bit client.
Either floats my boat, really.

And I don't see how would anyone be affected from this, to go like crazy about it.
Though I suppose somebody will. I start to think that no matter what, some people will always act like crazy.

I think we need to agree, that we do not agree.
We shall agree, that we do not have to agree…

I hope you understand what I'm saying.

This have turned into this GOG vs Steam debates.
Even worse - it turned into DRM vs DRM-free.

Neither are needed. And there are planty of places for that, to begin with…

I hope both sides see what they actually say. You have went extreme.
I guess nobody likes when nature get's extreme… Pond on that one. At least for a second.

GNU/Linux game pirating is a thing and thank God. For if it wasn't, I wouldn't be able to play the Steam games I have actually paid for…

Quoting: TheSHEEEPYeah, I also don't get the problems people have with Steam.
"You need to have Steam open and running to play the games!" - So I open Steam and run the game. No problem here. In addition to an inbuilt chat, I also get an inbuilt browser, community, workshop... all of which is optional, of course.
You fail to see the technical side of things. Like the requirement to have 32bit, just to play your 64bit games.
And I know you have nothing against that. No need to tell me.

Time and again, I've seen sheepies do unreasonable stuff only on the will of the shepherd.
when they have realised what had happend, they would probably swear the shepherd if they could.
But what does it matter? In the end we ate The sheep.

By the way, you all have forgotten that you could actually play all this games on Windows… to begin with.
I see no one condemning, all the demand to get game X on GNU/Linux.

Quoting: skinnyrafDo Feral ports use Steam DRM? Or do they use Steam only as a distribution platform and perhaps the runtime? Is it possible to run a game from Feral directly, without the Steam client running in the background?

I'm asking, as I play all of their games on a Steam Machine without a keyboard attached, so don't have too many options for investigating...
All the games I have (pretty much all that are worth having, before Rise of Tomb Raider), can not be played without the Steam client. Yes, I have actually thought of that and tested.

Quoting: Shmerl...GOG Linux team...
A what?
A team in GOG department that's been assigned with dealing with all Linux stuff… Shocking?

Quoting: LinasWhy is everybody so up in arms about publishers not putting their games on GOG? Sure, DRM-free is important, but they are doing very little, if anything, to push Linux adoption. They have no Linux-compatible client (GOG Galaxy), no easy way to distribute updates, no standardized runtime, don't port their own games to Linux, nothing that would actually invite Linux users and developers.

GOG could become a great alternative to Steam if they actually cared about Linux, but until then Steam is much more Linux-friendly platform run by a much more Linux-friendly company.
GOG cares not about Linux, nor does to Windows either. GOG cares about selling stuff. Just like all the rest…

Don't know why. Why I don't care about Steam releases? Perhaps because I cannot play the Steam releases?
The ******(put your word here) client requires 32bit! I have none and I will countinue to have none. For I don't need that on my system, like at all…

They will countinue to receive nothing from me, for I have stopped bothering buying anymore. And that won't ever change because I'm way past caring for Tux gaming.

If this behavior does not change in the near future (getting pushed for post-launches), I guess Tux gaming won't become a thing.

My blacklist expands rather quickly.

Meanwhile I don't have 32bit layer, so can't even run Steam… hehe
