As a fan of the original Xcom (and the new ones too) I'm buying it as soon as it's out. I used to pre-order/back games, I did it for Xenonauts, but not anymore.

The game did work with mesa, and after some DL update it stopped working, so it seems to me it's the game dev's fault in this case.

The Steam Machine thing didn't work but in the end Valve has an alternative in case Microsoft get too greedy with their plans to have everything be some Store App or something like that

It's virtually a rebranded Xbox 360 gamepad. Ergonomics are fine.
