I love To The Moon and I had to focus a lot to not cry like a baby, but my eyes were watery through most of the game. I should definitely get this one but I'm not in the mood for it right now.

Heard of BatMUD? This classic text-based multiplayer game is still going after many years

Quoting: SamsaiMUDs go further back than the 90s, so yeah. BatMUD itself was released in 1990 and it wasn't the first among MUDs.
Quoting: Al3sAbsolutely. Back in the day all muds where played over telnet on the terminal.
I do not dispute that MUDs were text-based games. I merely questioned the hypothesis that a game can only be referred to as a MUD if it does not contain a graphical user interface, which I have given a counter-example to in the form of Illarion where the developers have been on it since the late 90s and have referred to it as a MUD ever since.
I've just saw a gameplay of Illarion. If that is a MUD, then I guess World of Warcraft is a MUD, too.

Quoting: KeyrockMUDs are the precursor to MMOs. They are MMOs without graphics.
Is that really so? I've been playing Illarion [External Link] on and off for the last 15 years or so and it always had a graphical user interface, even the very first versions from the late 90s.
Absolutely. Back in the day all muds where played over telnet on the terminal.

Well, Supaplex was a pretty popular game back in the day, and it had a few clones already. It could be said that game started a whole genre .

It does launch but renders a black screen (intro video music playing and so on, just black screen). It's a pity. It's probably the only game I miss from the time I used fglrx just after I bought my old HD7870.

Sadly, I can't play this game right now with mesa (not going to bother installing amdgpu-pro).
Yeah, now that I think about it, not launching was an earlier issue. Last time I installed it was like you say. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with how most games work with mesa, so I'm not bothering with amdgpu-pro either, at least for now.

I loved the old Incredible Machine games and I love this one. I play without sound or music and usually listen to podcasts or audiobooks while playing, since it's like I use different parts of my brain for those. I have like 75% solved and I kind of forgot about it but now I think I'll focus again on it to try and complete 100%

I finally completed Half-Life 2 on Linux and it was quite the experience

I finished half-life 2 years ago but never got the time to play the episodes, so I wanted half-life 3 but whatever. About a year ago I was bored and played the episodes... oh boy, bad idea. Half life 2 was great technically, but the episodes touch on the feels and add to the plot in a way that it's really sadistic to have us all this years without a word about plans for the next game.
