What an awesome and unexpected news. Been drooling for Lara Croft since forever ;)
Quoting: KeyrockDon't go into it expecting a Tomb Raider game (despite the game being called Tomb Raider) or you may wind up bitterly disappointed and hating the game like I did. This game has very little in common with the original Tomb Raider games outside of sharing the name and protagonist. If you're looking for proper puzzle platforming and actual tombs to raid, you won't find it here. What you will find is a pretty good cover shooter with spectacular setpieces, a bunch of QTEs (thankfully they're concentrated at the beginning, after that you don't get them as much), and some hold you by the hand exploration.I was just about to ask for comparisons with Legend-Underworld series and earlier stuff. A bit sad if it went more mainstream(?) since then but I will probably buying this nonetheless.
Despite the fact that I hate this game with a passion, I'll be happy if it comes to Linux since it would be a good step forward for Linux gaming.

What?
Many of AAA games are shite these days, esp. on launch, just like indies, the difference is you need to sell your arm and a half to play them.
Indies brought gaming to linux, your arrogance is not appreciated.

Patches? What patches? Surely AAA games don't need any patches since they are tested to perfection on day 1.

Just here to say that I really enjoy these technical yet fairly n00b-friendly articles. It's interesting to peak into the reverse-engineering world.

Unity does not mean instant port like we know all too well.
They'd better watch their middleware.

"to stop the Ice Lords, a group of six human sorcerers who have tapped into some source of power that have basically promoted them to demigods. The Ice Lords have conquered most of Vertiel through the use of undead armies, deadwalkers, the ranks of which only grow with each victory." ASOIAF inspired? :)
