Quoting: apocalyptechAha, quite welcome! It's been awhile since the last official HIB. Lucky for me, I'm actually interested in most of the ones in here, and the only one I'd already had was Kentucky Rt. 0.You're a massive nerd.
A few numbers, for those inclined to like numbers:
Arithmetic mean of days-between-HIBs: 151 days (5.0 months)
Standard deviation: 62 days (2.1 months)
Intervals between HIBs (in days): 224, 224, 140, 170, 110, 92, 160, 106, 118, 42, 203, 39, 165, 181, 147, 175, 273
Maximum HIB interval (between 17 and 18): 273 days (9.1 months)
Next HIB, if exactly at mean: October 14, 2017
Next HIB, if exactly at mean+stddev: December 15, 2017
I approve.

On the topic, I'll keep an open optimistic mind regarding Atom RPG, although I have to agree, the lighting doesn't look very good. Still, hoping they improve on that and willing to overlook it if the game itself is solid.

Quoting: razing32Underrail did not work well on wine last time i tried. The last time I tried it worked reasonably well with latest wine staging and all .net versions installed in the prefix. Which was better than previously.

Quoting: FaalagornSupposedly, this reduced game loading time by a whooping 40 seconds, so it was yet another issue of DRM hurting game for legitimate users. If true, holy shit. I'm not surprised, mind you, but still, holy shit.

Quoting: WorMzyLooks good to me!Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. Yes.
I do hope the battlescape isn't too restrictive like the modern XCOM games, the original system of TUs and free fire gave you much more freedom -- from destroying walls and hedges to create alternate routes, to choosing when and where to take your shots, to saving some TUs for the chance of getting reactionary shots.
I hope the geoscape is similar to the originals too.

I second the endorsement of the Humble Wild Frontier bundle. I adore Gods Will Be Watching and Renowned Explorers, FRONTIERS seems promising (and it does have a Linux build, although I'm not sure if it is behind and how much) and I'm sure you have already heard good things about Hard West as have I.
