I tried it yesterday and it seems a fun and interesting game! unfortunately it freezes quite often on AMD and the map's loading time are super slow (but it may be my sometimes crappy connection).
Is this Unreal Engine 3? It looks like so to me..

If you guys are dying to play both the 2 non-Native games on your Linux system,
well, they both run fine using Wine.

This is a great solution until the developer/publisher provide us the native versions
I hope I didn't triggered the LJW (Linux Justice Warriors) out there <3

Using Nvidia's NVENC with OBS Studio makes Linux game recording really great

Quoting: HoriNice and all but I really can't believe there's no other way to get this other than put lots of commands in the terminal...Shame on Nvidia that always provides us with non Open Source software..
I have no problem with that as I am a technical user, but for other people, this is a real put-off.
Looking to capture gameplay from one Linux PC on another, what should I be getting?

Nvenc is the thing that I miss the most when using AMD, I hope that a similar encoder is coming soon on the red side :(
Speculation: A recent Mesa commit hints at a possible Batman: Arkham Origins Linux port (update: no it isn't)

I'm glad that they're working with a Unreal Engine 3 game.
Most of these games suffer many issues on Wine, especially using Wine Gallium Nine!
Some of them, such as Batman Arkham City or Red Orchestra 2, freeze my entire PC, leaving me with a hard reboot as the only option.

Sometime there is more drama and suspense in a forthcoming Linux release then in all the 7000 episodes of "the Bold & the Beautiful"..
Through the Woods no longer coming to Linux due to platform-specific technology

I was just extremely disappointed because this could've been a native port since OpenGL is already there.
Anyway it can be useful for any newcomers who don't know about Wine, it would just be a bit annoying to have these 200+MB to add for every game..
It would be great if Steam could give us the ability to launch wine games through the Linux Client, without switching between clients every time.
The Topware situation is definitely strange, I too didn't know about that and would like to hear what the other side (Topware) has to say about that.
Also they are selling some other games, such as Two World series, as bundles for basically nothing (on Bundlestars for example).
And about the GOTY edition of Two Worlds 2:
quote=[Wikipedia [External Link]]On July 15, 2011, it was announced that the game would be receiving a "Velvet GOTY Edition" set for release October 18 later that year. This announcement has raised some questions among gaming publications, as it has been reported that Two Worlds II has not been named "Game of the Year" by any major media outlets.[/quote]There are definitely some strange stuff going on behind Topware..

Quoting: MyeulCYes, You're right.Quoting: manero666Sorry if I'm being rude here, but I can't really stand when Wine usage is bashed when it applies to incompatible games that will never be ported, but the same usage get praised when it applies to "ports" like this one.Don't be too quick to judge or condemn. The game might use some middleware, as you said, might rely on case-insensitive filesystems, registry, hardcoded windows behavior, complicated toolchain or whatever...
The game is potentially native, there is no need for a compatibility layer because the game is compatible (unless middleware).
Personally, I would rather get a native port this time then 200+MB more for the ability to launch the game from the Linux Steam client..
This list might get big enough that fixing everything could take a huge amount of time. As opposed to wraping it up, fixing minor bugs, and publishing.
Plus, you get all the benefits wine offers: proper controller, sound, alt-tabbing support, and I might forget some.
