Quoting: m2mg2Nvidia driver 367??? That isn't even Fedora repo's. I only uninstalled the repo binary driver 35-something and compiled the binary from Nvidia a couple of weeks ago to get Vulkan support. Are they using Vulkan, what would the reason to require such a recent driver be? Seems like the majority of Linux users would not have this version, am I wrong?
367.27 is quite old already, 367.35 is a thing atm
i don't know why some distros hold back driver updates... its just stupid imo
I don't know about quite old, been out for a while yes. I went to 36*** a while back but had to downgrade because some of my games wouldn't start with it, also Shadow of Mordor anyone? That appears to be sorted now, except for Shadow of Mordor.

I also only see up to 352 in Ubuntu repos. I assume 36* is available in SteamOS?
If you are missing textures in Shadow of Mordor add __GL_ShaderPortabilityWarnings=0 %command% to the launch options in Steam.

If any one could give me some advice on how this runs on AMD FX processors. I was thinking about picking this game up, but under the requirements AMD processors are not listed. I just want to make sure I wont regret purchasing this.

Quoting: adolsonSo it has the SteamOS icon on the Steam store page, but the actual Linux version is not even available yet? Wow. They can't get anything right, can they?
I am not defending the game, I can't because i have not played it. It does support Linux but its not released yet. I don't understand how that works since games loose the steam OS icon for not being tested on steam OS, but they work on other Linux distributions.

Have you downloaded it? I do not see it in the depots in Steam DB. I don't want to purchase it until it is on Linux.

This game looks really good. I watched the stream you did the other night, however the lack of players is a concern.

Deep Silver & Techland are not supporting Dead Island Definitive Edition on Linux, at all

Would Techland still be supporting this? I have not purchased these games yet. I have been waiting to see what transpired since deep silver had stated before that they would not be supporting Linux.
