Next month marks seven years of me running GamingOnLinux, how should we celebrate?

About the game we could play, if we can trust release windows (yeah, trust windows... :P) we may be able to do a Rocket League tournament :D

The most people of the community in-game as possible would be awesome. Maybe we could try to invade a MMORPG like WAKFU or Ryzom, what do you think?3 great ideas :D
Everyone sharing a screenshot of them playing their favourite game on Linux (playing on a window so we can notice it's Linux), if there is enough submissions that could be really cool as well (we would need a new module in the website to show the screenshot).
Having a live interview of Gabe Newell.

The PAYDAY 2 developers now own the franchise, ditching microtransactions, PAYDAY 3 looks like it's a thing

I had no time to play it since the last update (update number 100, a big one) so I can't confirm but the changelog says that they removed the microtransaction (it was added when they were bought by another company and now that they fully own Payday again they removed it so).
For the unlock system I had really no issue with it. When playing with friends it's really really fun no matter what stuff/skills you have, plus it's not that long to unlock all the basic things you could be needing. Sure you won't be able to jump into really high difficulty game at first because your character will be too weak but it isn't an issue for me.

In my personal case, I don't care about the delay because there are plenty of other game (yep, plenty of good games on Linux, what a day to be alive :D ) that I could play in the meantime. But I'm pretty sure it had a bad effect on the (probably few...) early adopters of the steam boxes.
Seeing an important title sold as being available on the platform unplayable during more than half a year can't be a first experience for someone wanting to try Linux/SteamOS.
So, yeah... Valve Time... I hope that Linux gaming will finally get the same intention as Windows in the long run... If it is to end up like this, I am ready to wait ^_^

Never had any issue (60fps) on full settings 1080p with a GTX770 and i5 @3,4GHz
It's really fun to play with friends :-D

Steam's latest Hardware Survey is out, shows Linux at 0.84%

As Valve ever said something about these problems ?
The survey not showing in Big Picture mode, a hardaware survey used for the OS and the strong impression that it shows way more on Windows ?
Maybe it's efficient as a hardware survey so they left it like this and forgot to think about the effect on Linux numbers perception ?
What about us Linux users emailing them in group ? Or using GOL social media channels to start spreading the word of the issue ?
I have the impression that outside the world of Linux, people are not aware of this problem so we might as well qtarting talking about it son't you think ?

Damn, my heart almost stopped. I misread it as if Valve HAD abandonned Linux xD
(Which would probably put the progress of Linux as a gaming platform to a stop for at least 10 years...)

What do you mean by "modded the engine" and "not just relied on the defaut UE look" ?
UE4 is really open in the graphical approach you can have with it :-)

And now a hundred comments ! :-D
I hope it is Doom because of what it could mean with Bethesda starting to edit on Linux. Plus the game seems really good :-)

AMD Polaris graphics cards are starting to sound pretty amazing

(I'm trying to setup a VM with GPU passthrough right now but I'm having troubles with my onboard graphics not working correctly...)

Which would require a extra monitor, I would love to do this but extra monitors seem to be too much clutterWell, I guess you could always switch the HDMI cable between one or the other graphic card depending on which one you are using

I'm one of the lucky ones that got a free key as a gift during the livestream, thanks a lot :D
Yeah I can confirm that the game is really fun, I will have to test it with more than 2 player though.
I just had a little issue with it because it assumes that the player is using a QWERTY keyboard and I couldn't find any option to change this.

Once it's more stable it will be a truly annoying (in the fun way) game to livestream with a few of you.If you're searching for opponents, I'm ready ! :)
