Whatever Happened To Torchlight On Linux? UPDATED
25 Jun 2014 at 9:08 pm UTC Likes: 3
There are still quite many Linux ports that are available only via Humble library (if you purchased them in Humble Bundle), Humble Store, Ubuntu Software Center, Gameolith or other source, but not on Steam. Torchlight is only one of them, there are also Braid, Lone Survivor, Dustforce, Wizorb, NightSky, BEEP, McPixel, No Time To Explain, Cortex Command (rework with new Linux port was announced for last two of mentioned). However, after some time and probably community influencing devs, we finally see LIMBO and Super Meat Boy, Broken Sword 1 and 2. I guess our voice can do good, if we don't threaten anybody, so let them hear us :D

I think that you did not to have a chance to use own Mac computer because you did not tell the truth about graphic cards. From my point of view, they sell computers with Intel, ATI, and Nvidia graphic cards. I did not notice any standardization in this case, and I say this as a Mac and Linux user.

Give them some time... Most important thing is, they will work on that port and they wanna learn from their mistakes. If it worked for Macs it should work for us - the difference is, Macs always come with NVIDIA card on board, so it is a bit more standarized platform than Linux (install on any hardware, yay!)
And if you think that CDP is not involved, you are probably wrong, because I doubt that Virtual Programming would fix their Witcher port for free, out of kindness. The guy above is right about support in big companies. It is often much easier to contact actual developers than publisher.
I'm interested, if they bring first Witcher to Linux, too (yes, it is available for Mac already). I wanna play the whole trilogy!

Quoting: S BrookDoes not seem to work on any games, even the suggested test one, on my system. Running Fedora 19 with both Firefox 29.0.1 and Google. Everything installed OK, enabled the plug in which shows up in the Add Ins list as Unity. But whichever site I try, I just get the Unity3D has crashed errors :(Many games do not work. But I just tested Race The Sun and it still works very fine to me. Report any problems to Pipelight developers/community, I am sorry but I can't provide you any support.
