If you mean run the tournament under Linux I doubt it. I'd love to see that but they don't really do it. Just look at DotA 2 TI. That is run on Windows 10. The machines that are played on are Windows 10, the machines that run OBS for the streams run Windows 10. I just don't see them using Linux for artifact.
i didn't know this... bad :(
I also was not aware about this. Valve is commited to Linux, Linux is capable more than ever to run such tournament. Looks to me like just some kind of miscommunication or oversight inside Valve. It would be really good promotion and expression of their dedication to Linux if they switch.
For Dota and CSGO I can understand because players intensively rely on their keyboard and mouse configurations and you want their setup to be as close as what they play 12 hours a day on. These guys are like pro athlete in terms of muscle memory.

That being said, for a card game no one cares about APM.
Well, lets hope Gabe reads our comments ;)

GOG and Steam are both running a Polish celebration sale

With SteamPlay in play... well tempting to get other titles like The Witcher 3 or Vanishing of Ethan Carter.. Although all Liams reccomendations are good!

Embrace, extend, and protect? Microsoft joins the Open Invention Network to 'protect Linux and open source'

Quoting: GuestLinux is going to conquer the whole world. It is a matter of when, not if. So Microsoft is making the right moves... I expect them to turn Windows into a Linux distro + proprietary libraries/API/DE at some point. It will be cheaper for them to maintain, will be able to enter most markets Windows can't enter/dominate now, like mobiles/servers, and will still allow them to be top dog, assuming they create a good and polished Linux based desktop OS and make linux-compatible versions of their stuff like Office...

People may laugh at this idea now, but it is an inevitability. Trust me. It may not happen in 5 or even 10 years, but it will eventually... The traditional "pay for a Windows licence" model is dead.
Well, G. is going away from Linux kernel with Fuchsia, so I'm not so sure about ruling the world. Depending on definition of ruling, we might have already been there though.

Still I am also quite sure its likely for them to go with Linux and do not ask their Customers to pay for their software directly. Maintaining their kernel by themselves must cost enormous amount of money.

Microsoft is rumoured to be looking to buy Valve, EA and others

Quoting: fractalIf MS paid $2.5B to buy basically a one trick pony company (I admit, a very profitable pony) in 2015, I can't imagine how much would they have to pay GAYBEN for Valve IP and their store when Valve had a net worth of $3.0B in 2012 and he alone went from $1.5B net worth in 2012 to $5.5B in 2018 according to Forbes.

In general it would have been a bad deal to tie your extremely profitable corporation to another corporation known for their reverse Midas touch regarding anything other than their flagship product and making less money off entire games on their equivalent of Steam than you make off digital hats.[/rant]
I hope one day we can see the option for Valve to buy M$. How cool that would be (would it be?)? If the pace of earning compared to spending is faster for Valve than M$ then at some point in time it could happen ( : Its difficult to even imagine the consequences.

Anyway - I also do not believe this gossip. If it comes from M$ itself, means they are really doing worse and worse in all terms.

Jackbox Games continue pushing Linux support with Quiplash & Fibbage XL now in beta

Nice. I will surely take a look on it. Can be nice option for some parties. Having this in mind, if Ataribox will support installation of games from Steam or have other option for such titles to be installed, then it can be just the kind of titles that suits this HW and its market really well.

It's time to bug Feral Interactive about future port requests once again
