It may be considered a beta, but this is running better than some other Linux ports that have been out for a while now.

Speculation: It's looking like Rocket League may finally arrive on Linux in September

Same here. It's always nice to have one more game that I don't have to switch over to Windows for.

The latest Steam Hardware Survey shows a rather insignificant drop for Linux

Whether the userbase is stagnant right now or not, things are still moving forward for Linux gaming(albeit slowly). If it reaches the point where people find that they can play their favorite and anticipated games on a free platform such as Linux, a big change will happen(and not just in terms of amount of Linux gamers), but that day is not today.

That's not really a desktop environment, it's literally just Big Picture Mode being run almost by itself.

Things I feel Valve need to address to help SteamOS really be something fantastic

I'll have to agree here, Valve needs to do more if they want to push gaming onto SteamOS/Linux, something to get the ball rolling.

I think a big problem here is marketing. I was really wanting them to do this last year, but they just didn't outside of Steam itself. Fact is, SteamOS and Steam Machines aren't something to replace Windows, but something to fill the role of a console. So why not advertise in such a way that reaches console users? This makes no sense to me.

Yooka-Laylee, the open-world platformer coming to Linux has a new trailer, release delayed

The delay is perfectly okay with me. A release window within one year from the Kickstarter campaign seemed somewhat unrealistic to me from the start.

While not optimal, it's certainly better than nothing.
Anyway, this is pretty much why Vulkan needs to take over.

Rocket League is still coming to Linux, but there is no release date

I just want this on Linux already. Mostly because a friend will stop by at times and immediately want to play the game, and my Windows installation takes a while to boot up.
Well, at least they haven't dropped the port like some certain other developers. It's a fun game, and I'll be eagerly waiting on that Linux port to release.
