D9VK 0.13 "Hypnotoad" is out, further advancing the D3D9 to Vulkan layer for Wine

There is at least one crash report for nvidia for Borderlands 2. But that one crashes so quickly with so little vram usage, that I highly doubt it's related to fragmentation.

SteamVR has another beta up, with plenty of Linux fixes and other improvements

Still awaiting my turn! *impatient*

I should probably clean and organise my computer room. I don't think I have enough space for room scale stuff right now.

The impressive first-person metroidvania puzzler "Supraland" now has Linux support

Fun game. Performance is not really good. I get 35-40 fps regardless of graphics settings. I tried it with "-vulkan", but nothing changed. No idea if the Vulkan renderer can't be used or whether it just didn't make a difference.

Quoting: scaineI loved Hellblade and completed it over a weekend in two sittings. Loved the combat and thought the puzzle elements were incredibly well done - only one frustrating experience and a "doh!" moment when I solved it. Beautiful game, great experience.
Funny how people experience things so differently. For me it was a completely disappointing experience. Trivial puzzles and combat (after you figure it out) and too much of it made me too bored by the end to care about anything the game had to tell.

Quoting: scaineI have no interest in supporting the Kingdom Come devs with even a paltry Humble Monthly download - these guys kickstarted their game with the promise of Linux support, then unceremoniously decided to shaft us... I mean, the duplicity of it was staggering.
At least they refunded those that wanted the mac/linux version. Something the Bloodstained devs refused to do after they did the same.

Quoting: ajgpIm enjoying it, have to admit I play more on my phone than on the PC, but the shared account is appreciated.

My only gripe is that games take a fraction too long. If they were shorter I could easily use this as a filler game.
They did confirm plans for a Turbo mode :)
Turbo mode sounds nice in theory, but I wouldn't be surprised if this would make the game more sensitive to RNG than it is now.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is apparently hard on the frames with Proton. From what I remember from youtube, it especially likes CPU power.

Total War: Three Kingdoms gets mod support, Reign of Blood DLC and 1.1 patch now out for Linux

Quoting: liamdaweI don't get the delay either, they must be losing sales with Steam Play all this time. It was announced seven months ago, the game has been on Windows for close to a year now too.
They get compensated for Linux sales after the announcement, right? So Steamplay shouldn't matter. Even so, it's been a long time and it's strangely quiet on the Feral side.

10 years ago GamingOnLinux was created, what a ride it's been

Congratulations on making it to 10 years! That really is some exceptional commitment. I've only been here for the last three, but it quickly became my main place for Linux gaming news. And the extensive community around it is what really makes it shine. Thanks to all who worked hard to make it what it is!

Superstarfighter, a free and open source local multiplayer party game

Seems to have a lot in common with Mover or Die. But could be interesting when there is a party. Like, say, tomorrow.

Settlers was the first thing that came to me when I watched the vid. Then some Factorio. Not the worst games to be inspired by!
