The Talos Principle has a new beta with an upgraded Serious Engine, removes OpenGL in favour of Vulkan

Otherwise it's been running very well. The occasional graphical glitches that I saw when I last ran the Vulkan build are gone and everything looks as it should. Can't really comment on the performance since I switched GPUs since then.

Quoting: GuestHm, without Vulkan it's not possible to play it any longer on Optimus Hardware, as far as I know Bumblebee dose not support Vulkan. There is still a 32 bit version in the beta branch. Might be worth checking if this is an older build which still has OpenGL.

Installing this one. I still have a few stars to collect and a few extra DLC puzzles to solve.
A reminder about Steam's platform-specific wishlist feature you should be using

I obviously had this set already since I quite like having of the Steam lists filtered for Linux games only. Mostly, win games still appear in "Special offers" and the endless recommendation list at the bottom of the front page. But tagging Windows games on my wishlist just because I might want to see them on Linux is too much of an intrusion on its primary function.
If there was a special list/tag that would not pollute the wishlist when you only wish for the platform, I'd be all over it.

Quoting: CvxFousMy main inspiration has been Zachtronics works (who I contacted for server for histograms, while I ended up only using Steam Leaderboard for now), whose simple but complicated programming game has always been some of my favorite games. What better place to find inspiration than right from the master. If this is anything close, it'll be a hell yeah for me.
What have you been playing recently and what do you think of it?

Quoting: TermyI'm kind of baffled that Epic is allowing collaboration with Valve ^^They're not collaborating yet. Right now they're only doing preparations for talking. Best not get ahead of ourselves.
Glad to hear this though :D

Quoting: PatolaI started working with Linux around 1996/1997, and although I was a PC gamer at the time, the dedication to a "serious" OS made me lose contact with the gaming world, since I also removed windows from my own PC. I even bought some original Linux titles in 2001 or 2002 (who remembers Loki? I still have my Descent 3 Linux CD!), but that was more of a curiosity than real hope I'd have gaming on Linux. That's why at the time of Steam for Linux launch I was very skeptic and I took some time to be convinced by it, but oh boy, convinced I am, and nowadays I consider gaming to be the most important aspect of Linux to rise to mass public success. Since I have a gap of little less than 20 years of gaming, I routinely buy older games to enjoy and I marvel at some 2004 graphics like a little child. Thanks, Valve! You deeply transformed my life for the better. This pretty much mirrors my experience. Although I was too busy with university around 2001 and my purchases were a little later from LGP instead of Loki.

SteamDB shows an unused Linux (and Mac) depot. So maybe it'll come a bit later. I'm sure Liam will let us know if it does.
