Torment: Tides of Numenera not your thing? Or do you not want to do that because it's more of a long term project?

Quoting: neowiz73it's unique :) that's the main reason I like indie games. plus all the old school elements mixed with new style gameplay is really fun to me.
It's not just the new style gameplay here, you also get (relatively) modern lighting and fog effects in your pixel graphics. Something that could never be done in the actual pixel graphics days. I find that an interesting combination.

Quoting: BraqoonSubscription model is how you do DRM these days.
Subscription (or lease) is nothing new. It has been used by professional software for decades. Usually by stuff that costs tens of thousands per year though.

Quoting: STiATI really want a wheel and pedals for that game. Are there any suggestions on what works with linux / the game?
At this moment, the G920 is the best supported wheel on Linux.

Quoting: 0aTTThank you! Would be interesting to compare this with the Windows version of the game.
Windows DX11 performance was just above Vulkan in the previous beta. So this beta should just about match DX11 performance. So there is still a lot of optimisation work left to do.

Quoting: ldriftdoes anyone has a logitech g29 and could test it with dirt rally on linux?
The G29 uses the same driver. In theory, the game could detect the different name and not use it. I doubt Feral would do that and even if it did, the G29 can be put into G27 compatibility mode, which makes it indistinguishable.

Quoting: LinasThis will cost around €800 where I live, according to past experience. Man, that's a lot of money...
Indeed, if it would actually be $699, I'd have me one for my next build (unless Vega comes out on top before then). But I fear that the practical versions (higher clocks, better (and less noisy) coolers) will even exceed the €800 mark.

Quoting: EhvisIt seems odd that Valve would be actively helping with competition for the Vive.
Actually, it seems a lot like Valve to me - after all, they did something kinda similar with Steam Machines, partnershipping with multiple companies. The only one who I'd imagine to have problems with it though, would be HTC itself :P
But Steam Machines are pretty much a basic PC with standard components. The current state of VR is much more in a state of research and development. Since HTC didn't completely fail in their first attempt, it makes sense to continue development there and benefit from the experience gained.

It seems odd that Valve would be actively helping with competition for the Vive. Maybe this is something different. Maybe a Hololens type thing to complement the VR set?
