It looks incredibly slow without any sense of speed and the worst car handling ever. I hope it isn't, because otherwise it looks really cool.

Some things developers might want to think about when bringing a game to Linux

I am German and there are a lot of games that have a problem with comma being the decimal point in my locale. Often enough, even recent Unity games, save floating point data locale independent and parse them locale dependent, leading to crashes, bugs, and corrupted saves.

It's easy enough. Just use Double.Parse with the current locale as separate parameter. It's not magic. I think I've added LC=C_ALL as a environment variable to about half of all Steam games I play.

Civilization VI for Linux is no longer certain, only a possibility

I wonder whether we're entering a phase of increased difficulties for ports. Wayland is around the corner, so is vulcan. The stack isn't so certain anymore. It might take a few years again for the stack to settle down and expertise to accumulate.

Over the last years the graphics stack wasn't a moving target. It will be again for 3D games. It might be unfeasible in the next years for games with a custom engine to be ported.

Simutrans, the open source transportation simulation game is now on Steam

Airport building in simutrans is still killer. In Simutrans you can build an airport with an arbitrary layout. The airports in OpenTTD are basically useless if you have more than a few aircraft.
