It worked quite well the last millennia, and it still works.

Quoting: scaineI've seen some enthusiasm for GenAI in the general public, but (and maybe I'm in a bubble of my own making now), most people I speak to simply ridicule it, or more often, actively revile it.The vast majority of people do not care.

>If you do like these free to play anime styled MMOs, then at least it's another choice for you on Linux right now. From what they said it has a "mega-server", so there's only one server that everyone is one in a shared world.
I'm not sure how they're trying to make it work. From what I see in the steam reviews, many users are complaining about the high ping.

The depth is incredible but to be honest it's not playable by my standard because of all of the bugs and horrible UX.
It's pretty much accepted that you can only play with DFHack, just to fix some of the bugs (wildlife stops spawning, NPCs getting lost,...) and missing features (lack of search in the work orders or any kind of management, clothing/equipment management,...)

This is one of those games that on paper I love following, and reading about, and watching videos about, but just could never get into due to complexity. But I absolutely love that it exists and people play it!I was like you but I did end up trying the game (for almost 100 hours).

At the same time Valve are reminding developers that they may want to hide old trailers, and ensure they actually show gameplay — get to the gameplay as quickly as possible.thank you Valve

Most reviews I've seen are pretty clear that spice (the most important late game resource) can only be gathered in a meaningful amount in the PvP zone, where smaller groups get annihilated by large guilds.
I don't feel like pouring dozens of hours in a game where I will be stuck in a dead end situation.
