Quoting: mulletdeathLooks pretty fun. My main beef with what I've seen so far is that you just basically play as the ball-- couldn't they have cute or cool animated characters to play as kind of like Mario Golf? Is there a Tux Golf? If there isn't, there should be.There's always neverball [External Link] / neverputt for your opensource minigolf pleasure ;)

Yea! Judging by the trailer this is the kind of game I've been waiting for. It looks awesome. I've been wanting to shoot stuff in space for a while now.
Too bad they are going for the populair option of "porting" to linux and not developing it as a first party platform. I genuinely want to play this as soon as it is out but I'll likely have to wait another six months post-release.

Quoting: TheBosseeuhh  no, guess I did not read that properly the first time. Or they used valve time to create a time loop making my suggestion reality before I had the idea in the first place.Quoting: LeviPretty cool that valve kept their promise and released the models to the public. I wonder, under which license do they publish them? I do not see any mention of a license in the source, I hope that it'll be something like creative commons [External Link] to allow everyone to profit from it.Unless you're talking about something else, the files are under creative commons, it's mentioned in the quoted text :)
Their idea for a storage place for the adapter is bitter, something I sorely miss because I still am not using the controller often enough to keep the adapter plugged in.

Rocket League due on SteamOS & Linux very soon [Updated]

I've been playing this a bit here and there with friends and it's quite fun. The way the camera system works though makes it very hard for me to score in this game.
I am very interested how this will be running on steamos, I'll defiantly be interesting in joining a few rounds.

As christmas is passing as I type I wish everyone happy holidays.
This year has been great on GOL, It's been busier than ever. Even though valve's steam machines didn't make the big splash we all hoped, linux gaming grew massively and is here to stay.

Valve's Source Engine 2 Looks To Be Coming To Dota 2 As A DLC

"Low Violence" Could just be an adapted version so Dota won't be banned in places such as Australia. Both Left4Dead games have special "less gore" modes which dumbed down the effects and change models to not be "shocking" for kids.
If this is the case it is even more exciting since it would mean Source 2 has such an increase in graphics that it would look too real.
Very exciting stuff.
