I'm sorry, I know this is "old" but I have to write somewhere here because I'm really impressed with the porting, amazing job Feral! <3

The Humble Day of the Devs Bundle 2019 is out, get 'Minit' plus 'ToeJam & Earl' cheap

So maybe it's time to see if the "Frog Detective" works on proton :)

D9VK 0.20 'Frog Cookie' is out further advancing this great D3D9 to Vulkan layer

Is the command the only thing to consider? Because every game I tested doesn't run... I don't know if there is a list of working games, but I saw a video with Dishonored but nothing on my system. Maybe proton must be installed on same partition/disk of the game? Can I check somewhere what is the problem?

Steam Play Proton 4.11 released, a pretty huge release pulling in D9VK and a replacement for esync

Quoting: KeyrockOriginally I had mixed feelings about Proton, but I've come around on it. I'm in the if it runs via translation layer well enough that it's indistinguishable from native, then it's just as good as native camp. I've been playing HITMAN 2 via Proton and it runs AT LEAST as well as HITMAN runs natively.
For me the real problem with Proton is that, obviously, you needs to install untrusted Microsoft things... a lot... (untrusted or things? ;) )

I'm still hoping that I can play, and buy, the native SotTR but the Feral's radar appears very static for Linux. It looks they're focusing more and more on mobile and the switch, I don't know, probably it makes sense. I'm still grateful for what they've done <3

GameMode, the Linux gaming performance tool has a fresh release out

After this news I checked again the Feral radar (hoping in|looking for) a colour change but SoTR is still green ;(

Quoting: NeverthelessEven on "shitty" Win10 you can simply go offline and play GOG games. People using Stadia might stop buying gaming PCs and hurt that option deeply and forever.
I'm not so sure that if you are offline Win10 is not "watching you"...

An updated Steam Client is out, should be more responsive when downloading

@ThePierrasse: lucky you, I still have it

Feral Interactive are teasing a new Linux port, time to start guessing

Quoting: KimyrielleIn a world where 100% of all Windows games would run in Proton in a way that's 100% indistinguishable from running it in Windows...why would it still matter if the port is native?

Because that's what Valve wants to do.
I installed Proton for some test but I'm not very comfortable/confident with Microsoft things, like dll and Directx, on my pc, I think I will remove it at all in short time. Having a native port feels just right :)
Hope to buy SoTR soon on Linux but probably, sorry, on the first sale...

Rise of the Tomb Raider is now officially available on Linux, here’s a look at it with benchmarks

Just upgrade to 18.04 (Unity desktop) but the game still doesn't start, it crashes with signal 6 ("System does not support 3D API required by this Game!" ) after the Feral launcher said the graphic card or the driver is not supported. I think I have problem with vulkan, does anyone know what can I check?

Mesa: 18.0.0-rc5
Radeon RX 570 Series (POLARIS10 / DRM 3.23.0 / 4.15.0-20-generic, LLVM 6.0.0)

Running vulkaninfo

Cannot create Vulkan instance.
/build/vulkan-Kbdbga/vulkan-1.1.70+dfsg1/demos/vulkaninfo.c:768: failed with VK_ERROR_INCOMPATIBLE_DRIVER

As Brisse said below, I did't have the driver installed... Thank you!
