Armello, the really fun strategy game has a new DLC with more characters

ad "Gimped version on GoG", well first of all, it is full game, not gimped...

But I feel like this being more problem of GoG not caring. I can see that if GoG offered some kind of support for devs to efficiently and painfully update their games (which seems like steam provides), they would gladly did it.

Finally, its funny that some pots there mention Paradox, as Paradox itself has a few years ago moved directly on steam as it is much easier for them to just manage single version of game...

Cities: Skylines - Content Creator Pack: Art Deco DLC is now available

One thing that I really hate on Cities Skyline, or rather two compound things are:
1. Little functionality in buildings. You have major stuff and thats all. You have hospitals, death people, trash, electricity and so on. Thus, except graphically (and geographically), there is a little difference between cities.
2. Most of stuff is locked until enough people are living in your city.
-- Common, why I can't have something like high-tech industry, for example high-tech farming industry, where a lot of educated people are living? With research labs, GMO and everything like that? And from start? I need to first put low density areas, I can't build decent plant, recyclation unit, water purifiers.... until I have enough people living in my city. What?

This makes a lot of cities look and behave the same.

0! Seriously, I hate MOBA games. And steam tags. I love RPGs and RTSs, but dislike MOBAs. And every single MOBA is tagged as RPG and RTS... gosh...

Addictive free Battlefield-like FPS 'Ravenfield' has its second beta available, some thoughts

For me, battlefield was always something with a lot of vehicles. Basically combining "world of tanks", "world of planes", "world of ships" and soldiers before it was cool.

This looks nice, boxy soldiers look cute. How they are hugging that rocket lancher:) I hope, they will boxify those weapons as well (a bit).

Shadowrun?
Well not all in a literal sense :) Luckily. But I seriously am of the impression that 9:10 are.

Quoting: ColomboThey don't? Most of RPGs have different fantasy setting?
All I see are mages and knights running around in a medieval environment with castles, deep woods and dark dungeons. I call all that identical.
I guess there are nuances for those who are into fantasy (I'm not - if that's not already apparent enough :) ).
Maybe some are more "realistic" than others, some you play humans while others you can be a friggin' cat. Sure. Maybe some have dragons, others have golemns instead. Or orks. Elves or not. Yeah whatever. To me it's the same setting, the same universe, give or take a component or three. It's castles, woods and grottoes. I just know instinctively what kind of characters and stories I will encounter. Some skeletons in an abandoned mine probably. And so forth.

It could have been *so* much more varied - if only visually! They could keep the *exact* same mechanics, only wrap it up in perhaps a gothic setting, vampires and werewolves instead? Or a totally *new* universe, and not just a fork of the fantasy formula (cause it really is formulaic)?
Really, whatever but fantasy!

Or, if we should use franchises as examples: How about a Matrix like universe? Or Avatar? Transformers? Alice In Wonderland? How about anything - anything! - but yet another fantasy RPG? Wouldn't it be refreshing!

But no. Yet again, another story of the woodlands, the castles. I bet there will be a rich evil man in there. With dubious plans. And some villagers who need help from a beast that lurks nearby.
Becausemages and knights running around in a medieval setting is defacto fantasy.

Graphically it looks totally awesome... But why oh why do all RPGs have that same fantasy setting? Like, every single one of them? They look like friggin' CLONES! Why can't we ROLEPLAY something else for a change?

Doesn't even diehard fantasy fans get tired of this sometime?

</rant mode off>

... Still gonna buy it though.
