I was just going to check it out, I thought. Now I see I have over 40 hours in it already. It is very engaging, and a lot of fun. The games do take a fair bit of time but that's not bad; if they were quicker I would probably squeeze in even more time in this game.
What are you playing this weekend and what do you think about it? It's mostly Dota Underlords for me

Kerbal Space Program. Hadn't touched it in many months, but started a new science career with the new DLC and the big updates lately. Still as fun as ever.
And yes, looks like I, too, may need to go find a different distro. I do want Gnome, though, so kde based desktops are not really an option.

Quoting: etamNew expansion of Kerbal Space Program. I bought KSP early, so I get all expansions for free :)Same here. Bought the two DLCs yesterday. So far I've been playing a couple of scenarios, and they're surprisingly fun. Gives you a more focused goal than the usual free-form playing experience. I love this game!

So I'm one of 16 people in Japan to buy the game :)
Windows use is very entrenched in Japan, and Excel even more so. Also, many distributions and Linux apps don't make it easy or convenient to use kanji, and that hampers uptake even more of course.

There's a lot of really good Linux games on sale right now

Got DiRT Rally on the winter Steam sale, and it's really an amazingly fun racing game - and I don't even like racing games. Works great with the Steam controller too.

By time played, XCOM2 WotC and the latest DLC (tactical legacy pack) wins by a mile for me. Especially the Tactical Legacy Pack is just a blast if you've played through XCOM and XCOM2 previously. All the fun of really well-crafted missions without any soldier management or strategic layer. And the final reveal is well worth the wait.
Into The Breach plays flawlessly through Proton and is a worthy spiritual successor to FTL. I only got it recently but it's a lot of fun, and has the same quality of really fun bit-sized play time fun that FTL does.
Also got Slay The Spire, and while I haven't spent more than an hour or two on it so far, it certainly seems to be a blast. Just wish the devels could spend just a little more time/money on the graphics to kick that up a notch; but that's just a minor nitpick of course.

I am interested in the game. I just don't want to be sucked in to some ongoing payment just to continue playing.
Some underappreciated gems going cheaper in the current sales, ends tomorrow

I can recommend Basingstoke. A third-person stealth game with some wonderfully distinctive graphics design. My only criticism (and it's a weak one) is that despite the seemingly simple graphics it really needs a decent GPU to run it, so playing on my laptop is out.

I played it right when it was released, and it was fun. Then I left it for a long time (over a year) and I completely forgot how to play and what I was doing.
I want to start over with the basic deck and initial tutorials. But there's no way to reset or start over, so I just can't get into the game again.
