The argument seems to be something like "only technical merit should matter". But whenever you have at least two people working on one thing you have a social aspect to it, and it becomes important. "Be nice to each other" is not politics, it's project management 101.

Neverwinter Nights. Reliving the official campaign. Holds up really well, still, though I'm looking forward to try some other modules afterwards.

I absolutely need this one. Hope Linux support will show up on Steam by release.

Basingstoke. It's seriously a lot of fun - and it plays quite well across the Steam streaming thingy, so I can sit in the living room with my wife instead of going to the office where my desktop sits.

Just a word of advice: Basingstoke starts with a tutorial/introduction that is really fast-paced and stressful. The actual game is a lot more deliberate, and, to me, more fun. Don't get discouraged by the interactive intro.

My main issue is that you can't reset your account and start over. I played it a little when it first came out. Then forgot about it for a long time. Now, if I want to play it again, I can't restart with the tutorial; I'm dropped in where I was last time I played. But I longer remember how to play - I need to redo that introduction to get back up to speed. I can't, so I no longer play.

Neverwinter Nights. The Linux scaling bug is fixed, now I'm going through the official campaigns again for the first time in ten years. It's fun - the game really holds up quite well.

Stardew Valley has been my main time sink for the past month or more. And I haven't even installed the new beta (I don't play online). I did enjoy a couple rounds of Droid Assault earlier this week but I seriously have to get rid of my Stardew Valley habit before I try playing anything else.

Quoting: liamdawe

Quoting: JanneI spent waay too many hours on Uridium on the C64. Looks a little dated but still plays really well.

Now, if we could get a modern remake of Paradroid...
Not sure if it can be called "modern", but there is this http://www.puppygames.net/droid-assault/ [External Link]
And Puppy Games are well worth throwing your monies :)
That looks really cool! So I _almost_ buy it when I see there's a bundle of their games. Aaannd, now I got Titan attacks and Ultratron as well (already had Revenge of the Titans)... Damn, but Steam is good at selling me stuff.

BTW, their new game "Basingstoke" looks really fun too. 3k yen is a little rich for me, but I'll try to pick it up at a sale later on.

Game streaming has worked surprisingly well for me. A couple of years ago I played through XCOM and logged many, many hours on Kerbal Space Program streaming the games from my Linux desktop to my (even then) anemic laptop, just so I could sit in the living room with my family instead of holing up alone in the workroom. It'll be fun to see what games of mine (if any) are actually playable on a smartphone screen.
