Some initial thoughts on the Logitech Driving Force G29 Steering Wheel
8 Feb 2018 at 2:18 pm UTC

Quoting: XpanderIs your wheel centered when you start up the game? what does jstest-gtk say? shows centered there?

you might want to try to turn off autocenter also.

ltwheelconf --wheel G25 --nativemode --range 900 --autocenter 0"
Yes the wheel is centered when starting the game. If launching Grid or Dirt Rally everything's fine but launching ETS2 it is totally off center.

I've neve never used jstest-gtk so far, I'll give it a try as well as the command you're suggesting, thanks ;)

Quoting: rustybroomhandleI bought my Logitech wheel just for ETS2 and it changed the entire experience for me. Suddenly the Zen amped up to 11.

Don't forget to put this into your ETS2/ATS folder. For Force Feedback support. Its amazing :)

I have a problem in ETS2 with the G25 since some time, the wheel is not centered, meaning that the truck wheels are straight when the wheel is fully turned right and so it will only turn left.

I've looked for solutions on the web, I've seen others had the same issue but didn't find something that would solve the problem.

If any of you has a clue that would be very welcome as my son really misses playing it. It works good in Dirt Rally and Grid Autosport by the way.

Looks like the Linux market share on Steam went up in January

Quoting: liamdaweTo add my own experience, on Linux I've seen the survey maybe 3 times in 3 years and yes I also saw it a lot more on Windows. I don't know what that says, I don't know their methods or how they do their sampling.

I shall continue to talk to developers to see their sales stats, sadly the latest round of emails and social messages has resulted in zero developers replying. Shall continue until some do for part 6 of my sales stats articles.
My experience has been different, I got the survey each time I installed a distro from scratch (even got it once after upgrading Mint to a newer version) or when I changed some hardware. I also got it last week out of the blue :)

It's time to bug Feral Interactive about future port requests once again

I just read that Dragon Ball FighterZ is developped under Unreal Engine, that's a game I'd like to have on Linux !

What I'm missing most of my Windows days is the Battlefield franchise, although I guess EA would not let a 3rd party port it.

Otherwise any recent street racing game, either arcarde (like Need for Speed) or simulation (like Asseto Corsa).

I really loved the different Advance Wars episodes on the Game Boy Advance and DS, I'll probably get this one if it translates well on desktop :)

EDIT:

And now it is bought and in my Steam game collection. Note - For a better discount, can get the bundle.
Yes, got an additional 10% discount via the bundle. Nice of the dev for owners of their previous game ^_^

I'm placing some hope in the Atari Console and also in the new Intel CPU with AMD graphics, that could be a package for compact and standarized Steam Machines....
