Massive upgrade? So... finally a native Linux version? ;-)

Nexus Mods say they are committed to supporting Vortex on SteamOS Linux

So, they care only about SteamOS? Will they at least distribute Vortex as Flatpak?

They depend on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and LTS Ubuntu releases tend to be awfully outdated, unfortunately.

Quoting: JarmerHow hard is it to setup a mastadon or bluesky account?
Don't want to be a devil's advocate here, but if you want to target wider audience, Mastodon is out of the game. And Mastodon is sadly even more toxic than X/Twitter. Avoiding "social media" altogether is wiser, in my opinion.

Steam Frame and Steam Machine will be another good boost for Flatpaks and desktop Linux overall too

Quoting: RedjeAnd I don’t really get the hype for flatpak.
That's easy: Regular Linux packaging is an unpredictable, outdated and in many cases broken mess. Flatpak is not ideal, but fixes most of the biggest packaging problems and actually makes desktop Linux usable even for regular, non-technical users. Especially when combined with "immutable" distributions such as Bazzite.

Even though I prefer the standard Fedora, I would rather recommend some immutable variant:

Aurora [External Link], Bluefin [External Link] or Bazzite [External Link]. All are great.
