Looks like AMD just open sourced their V-EZ Vulkan wrapper

People say that Vulkan is much "harder" than openGL, but i've learned a little bit of openGL and for me it was kinda messy, lots of global variables, openGL is not exactly easy, so Vulkan should be really hard.
I really would like to learn Vulkan and openCL and help some open source projects, don't know from where to start.

Half of me says "i love valve"
another half says "i hope they don't just get lazy and relay on pronton, and there's no more native ports", i also love feral, hope they keep doing native ports, but this may make negotiations with publishers harder.

Agony seems to be a game that created a lot of expectation, a possible candidate since it is literally in hell and it just released so could be it, i hope it isn't, since i don't like games which it's only purpose is to scare me, plus, i've seen a little bit of the game and it seems some aspects of the game seems too amateur, what is ok for an indie, but usually feral aims a little higher,

Doom is the first thing that came to my mind, something that a lot of us requested, should be easier (since it was made in vulkan and id is kinda linux friendly), i would like to play it -when my family isn't around- but i was not expecting bethesda to allow it, if they do, it will be good to see a game from bethesda on linux, but i still think it's kinda sad that we can only get the games 2 or 3 years after the launch, better later than never, but i hope we get new triple A being launched together for all OSs, or at least shortly after, like happened with dying light and deus ex: MD, deus ex seems to have let down some spectations at least on windows and consoles, i hope it don't discourage feral.

Looks like the Linux market share on Steam went up in January

i'm kinda ignoring this statistics, linux is so small in this graphs that it's hard to conclude anything, plus it's possible that steam adjusts the statistics and it come down again.

unfortunately i've noticed in my life that manipulate society is easier than it should be, i'm pessimist and i think this will be accept and most people wont even notice, those who notice will complain but do nothing to change, those who want to change already did, actually i opened this new in a hope that valve had confirmed your hipotesis, that's not the case.

Testing F1 2017 Linux port on AMD GPUs

Quoting: Fenix2412
Quoting: veccherseems to work fine, but i was expecting something a little better since it's "AMD and Vulkan", still behind the 980ti, also seems to be far behind windows sadly, but at least it's good to see that it works at 60fps ultra/full HD even with a computer that isn't extremely expensive.
A GTX 980Ti is a faster card than an RX 580 so it's rather obvious that an RX 580 would be slower.
truth, but when i think about "AMD And vulkan" i remember of Doom where AMD got an incredible boost And the fury cards beated 1080 that why i was supposing the possibility of a 580 beating or matching a 980ti, maybe i was hoping too much expecting something like that or something near Windows.

but on steam, it went down 0,11%, what is alot when you have less than 1%. For us with gaming purposes, i hope it goes back to at least 1%, we can't go down anymore.
