These corporations just don't get it do they.
I still clearly remember how the entire PC gaming industry was abandoned around the PS2, 360 era in favour of consoles while using the constant excuse of PC gaming is just full of pirates and not profitable. Around this time is when Valve stepped up to the plate and gave us PC gamers a platform of where we could actually buy games. If it were not for Valve then PC gaming would have likely died.
Only now that Steam is highly successful, The greedy corporations come crawling back as they know the console gaming market is dying so want to get back into the PC market. I have NEVER forgotten what the big publishers did in tandem with the retail industry to destroy PC gaming.
As gamers we have lost physical ownership and good quality games in favour of forced online and broken dlc infested junk along with the ever growing number of annoying launchers. GOG is great but does not have much in the way of games and also still does not support linux. EA, Ubisoft and Epic games are just complete and utter scum and as for Amazon, Not even interested.
If a corporation wants to really compete with steam then compete rather than try to bully and manipulate customers onto your platform and offer a compelling product, But most importantly trust must be earned.
Another big one is consumer rights. Stop taking our games away.

Hopefully AMD can sort out the issue with HDMI 2.1 support.
Spent £3K on a TV and GPU but cannot use VRR or FREESYNC features due to a lack of driver support.
This problem may force me to drop AMD in favour of Nvidia. I do not want to do this though.

I have just re installed Manjaro yesterday thanks to PDX and CO with the CS2 mods virus and now this.
I welcome any recommendations for a similar alternative distro.
Pure Arch might just be beyond my reach but I am willing to give a go if its not too much hassle to install.
I have a message for the Manjaro team if anyone sees it here. I left windows for a reason and for me opt out clauses crosses the line so im done with Manjaro it looks like. Shame as it was getting pretty darn good.

EA is another corp that will NEVER EVER get any money from me ever again.
This is why I don't buy games which are multiplayer only games and especially online service games with anti cheat DRM.
And changing the Terms and Conditions of sale after a sale has occurred, This needs to be challenged in court as its getting out of hand.

I am comfortable with not buying Ubi games.
Just because you are bankrupt, cash strapped and crawled back to steam does not mean I am going to rent games from you, especially after what you did with the crew game and games still infested with DRM and Ubi Account linking still required.
