Kingdom Rush Frontiers is now available on Linux

I've played Defense Grid (I & II) and Plants vs Zombies (I) - so this one could be a lot of fun! :)

Would you recommend to start with this or the first part of Kingdom Rush?

Thanks!

Editorial: I ditched SteamOS in favour of a normal Linux distribution for my gaming

Thanks for sharing your experience! I've considered to test Steam OS, but I'm very unsure now - are there any benefits over a "normal" Linux install, say Linux Mint for example? What distribution do you prefer for a pure gaming system? What system deliver maximal performance? I'm not a Linux professional (so I fear Arch Linux ;)) - but also I'm not a total beginner (don't want to start a 'distro war' here of course, just hoping for a few tips for the next fresh install).

Speculation: It's looking like Rocket League may finally arrive on Linux in September

Quoting: liamdaweSo because a game was delayed, you're just going to completely ignore it? That's such a sad attitude to take.
I can understand him. It's a pure multiplayer title - and even it's player base seems to be in good health right now, in my opinion such title have a shorter lifecycle then singleplayer titles (Witcher 3 for example). The shorter livecycle applies to the payed DLCs too, of course! My friends on windows have played and trained many many hours - it will be hard or nearly impossible to catch up with them. Even it will be a lot of fun, it would have been much better to play with them from the beginning. Lastly I don't like the information policy (for the Linux version) on this game - even now, it's just a speculation! I can't see a (good) reason for this.

I'm waiting for this game from the day I got my Steam Controller so I'll definitely give it a try - but I wouldn't buy it now because of the reasons named above.

Looks promising and (hopefully) will be released on GOG. Nice sound and visual style so far, I'll put this on my list! ;)

A look at Planet Nomads now it's in closed alpha and available on Linux

Sounds like an advanced version of "No Man's Sky" - but ways too early for me, even it looks promising.

Looks like Subnautica from the Natural Selection 2 developers won't get Linux support

I bought this game before migrating to Linux - it has a fresh setting and really beautiful graphics. With VR support it could be amazing! Today I do only buy games which are already available for Linux - I don't spend money on promises any more... :-/
