Played some Tonight We Riot (GOG/itch.io) on the HTPC with a friend. Played The Division 2 (Stadia) with my wife and her sisters last night. We are level 9 now. This is my 3rd go at this game and I'm starting to like it a lot more than I thought I would. They seem to love it. Playing some Shadowgate (GOG) today while my wife rest and finishes up her book before we head out to a dinner date.

I'm no longer participating in what they have going on but I appreciate the 3 bundles I got back in the day.

Quoting: ValethThe GOG version seems to have an issue where the download just stops after a short while.
Can anyone confirm that, or is that just on my end?
I've been able to download it without issue. Just checked 17 mins ago.

Big screen gaming distribution GamerOS continues picking up the SteamOS slack

I use SteamOS awhile back for my HTPC but dropped it as I left Steam and began to retire games that I no longer play.

Is GamerOS great for someone that has a large GOG/itch.io library? All of my games are controller based and we use our HTPCs as consoles-like machines.

If the map editor can be available for GOG users that would be excellent.

Seems like game store GOG is doing well overall in their new figures with revenue up 114%

Quoting: GuestI hope they don’t.

The only upside of GOG.com is the DRM-free installers, and they already started to hide these in favour of their Galaxy malware. The lack of a Linux build of Galaxy is the only thing preventing them to add DRM-gated features to the Linux games they sell.
Agreed. I wish they did not create Galaxy at all. It is what it is.

Quoting: GuestFor myself, the convenience of GOG is that it doesn't require some extra client to download the games - I can grab them directly from the website and use stand-alone installers. I prefer this personally, where available.
I with you on this. I tried Steam. Did not feel it. Chuck my account for a few bucks. Now I'm down to GOG, itch.io, Stadia and direct from devs.

I just things out of my way when I'm gaming. Whatever brings me to click and play on Linux gets my money.

Google finally adds a search bar to Stadia, some big UI changes coming that look good

Quoting: CorbenI guess if you have a native resolution of 1080p or higher but Stadia sends you 720p it will look quite blurry. If it's sharp, it should be the native resolution. At least I could see it directly, if it was not 1080p.
It's sharp on my end. I can download some of the clips I made and send them your way. I mostly play ZA4, MK11 and Super Bomberman R Online.

I use it often. How can I tell exactly if it's doing what you want to see? It runs excellently for me on my HTPCs and main rig on Ubuntu Mate 20.04 on Brave Browser.
