Quoting: iplaygameswearingatuxCould anyone please confirm whether the games are playable in MAME?

I wrote a slightly detailed guide how to make them work in MAME, you can find the link here (links to gog.com forums)

That guides seems really complicated. I have the HB versions and I just dump the neogeo.zip and the game.zips and they work as is. Were GOG versions altered?

Quoting: meggermanBit of a shame these aren't all available in steam, they would make good SteamOS titles for local multiplayer. Still it's good that there available from GOG.

They are also available on Humble Bundle. I install them on my machines and my STEAMOS HTPC and they are some of the most played games in my home.

If these are the same as the ones present in humblestore then i can confirm they work with MAME

Correct these are. They all work on Linux. They come with a MAME wrapper.

Quoting: ageresIf a game I already own gets ported to Linux, I buy a copy and store it in my inventory. I cannot gift it immediately because I don't have any friends using Linux, so that would be counted as a Windows sale AFAIK. So, what should I do now?

Write the developers to put a donate button on their website. Or at least tell you where you can send them some extra "thank you" money. The usual reply "just buy another copy" won't work anymore. I honestly believe each developer should have such a button, because of sales and bundles. If they don't, they are losing money. I often want to pay some extra (but not necessarily a full price) as well.

I get a lot of games for free from various sources and would like to donate VS getting another copy of the game.

This looks great but after learning more about the game I'm going to pass. I was hoping for something more like 'Warning Forever' where you're the actual "The Boss Fight".

Hmm. Not sure how I feel about this.

What happens when the person does not reject the gift but opts for refund/return?

I gifted a game that did not run properly on my cousin's computer - they were under the 2 hour mark and ask for the refund and I got the money back. Would this feature be the same in this new policy?

I'm picking this one up. Never heard of it but it looks like it's right up my alley. Can't wait to put it on the HTPC big screen and hear my kids make fun of it while I do my best to master each character!

Ballistic Overkill leaves early access, but major new features will still be added

I like the way the game looks and I love how nice the engine ran on my beefy rig and on my lowest rig in the house during my early access time last year.

I had an issue with the game play. The safe room areas bother me a lot. On more then 3 occasions during Team Deathmatch score would be even and the team that got 1 point over would just stay in the safe room til the clock ran out - sometimes 3 to 2 mins left of play.

I'm going to look @ some gameplay videos of the current release but if anyone that plays wants to fill me in if this has changed that would be good to know to see if if I can go back to supporting this game.

Because even on older or even freeware titles you have camping penalties to make sure the game flows.

Love itch.io So many odd gems that I discover it reminds me of the early days of indie gaming as they came out of flash site and starting make computer games.
