I probably not the target audience but I like Stadia a lot but I'm not the kind of person to buy a lot of games. I still play the games I have on it with friends like Zombie Army 4: Dead War and TR:DE Team Deathmatch. I don't see any game on the horizon for the next 5 to 10 years that are remotely interesting but I will keep playing these with my people til the wheels fall off.

I had to tap out all together from GOG. It became too much work for me to find out what is or is not missing in a game I wanted.
A lot of my friends are older gamers that don't even mess with Steam. Getting them onboard with GOG was a mistake as too many of them had to put in for refunds back to back as games they bought had some feature missing due to the requirement of Galaxy.
We ended up going back to Quake, Fightcade, Xonotic and random games on itch.io that have working online MP without a launcher.

Quoting: TermyWhile this is really great news, the most relevant part of this in my opinion is: how is this done? I hope we don't need to install some kind of EAC kernel driver or shit like hat? This is why I'm in the camp that is happy for everyone else that will get to play what they want but I'm going to stay out of this.

Man. I remember being so afraid to format my Windows 98 SE install back in the late 90's. I have to thank PCFormatUK and iirc channels back in the day that helped me get my bearings and go all in on Linux. It has helped me enjoy computing at a time when I was BURNT out on trying to get Windows to do things my way. It lead to better con experiences, LUGs and a higher paying job and more.
I wish great things for everyone involved in making linux excellent and may they have 30 more years of Tux goodies to come for all.
