Quoting: F.UltraDebian released patched versions on 2023-01-23, https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2023-22809 [External Link]

I could not find any info for Arch on https://security.archlinux.org/ [External Link] but it looks from their package database that they released patched versions around 2023-02-10, 2023-02-15
Well, Debian announced the availability of updated packages on January 18: https://www.debian.org/security/2023/dsa-5321 [External Link] and if I am interpreting this correctly, then Arch released 1.9.12p2 also on January 18: https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-packages/commits/packages/sudo/trunk [External Link]

For everyone interested in keeping track of security related package updates there is (at least for Debian) a mailing list you can subscribe to: https://lists.debian.org/debian-security-announce/ [External Link]

Quoting: rkfgAnd DLSS needs NVAPI that's also not enabled by default, it only works with Proton as some libraries need to be replaced and overridden in winecfg, Proton automates it:
PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1
After that it should work, tested on Metro Exodus, Cyberpunk 2077, Dying Light 2, all good. Not sure about Steam Deck specifically though.
I additionally had to create
$home/.config/dxvk.conf
with the following content:
dxgi.nvapiHack = False
and I had to add the following to the Launch Options:
DXVK_CONFIG_FILE=/home/user/.config/dxvk.conf PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0
otherwise DLSS wasnt available

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI want the GE version of this....
Give him some days, there will be one soon. As usual it will take him some days until new/next release of GE-Proton after Proton gets updated since he needs to apply his own patches/patch-sets.

Edit:
But since this is a stable release from previous experimental and GE always uses Proton experimental as a base, this Proton release is already available from GE as/since GE-Proton7-11.

Proton Experimental (as of 2022/03/31) [External Link], a few days later GE-Proton7-11 Released [External Link] with "proton experimental bleeding edge wine build has been updated"

Sorry Arch (EndeavourOS), it's not working out any more and hello Fedora

Valve gathering a list of Deck Verified games that have problems

Well, for me Witcher 3 is missing on that list. I get major micro stuttering on PC. No matter if Proton experimental or GE-Proton7-10.

Let's hope they've sent their linux build through QA first/before release, instead of outsourcing that to the community.

Reminder: Update your PC info for the next round of statistics updates

Quoting: amataiI'm still shy about using proton too extensively).
Imo proton and vk are among the best things (if not the best) that could happen (and happened) to linux gaming in the past years. I recently started playing kc:d via steam, which uses proton. I have 50+ hours now and i cant complain. It just works great (for me). I love it.
