The best Linux distros for gaming in 2021

I'm an user of Debian testing for years. It works nicely for games. I use steam from the Debian repository without problems. For lutris I get their latest release on their github to use and it works nicely.

My use case: my hardware is not in bleeding edge side of force, and I do love stability.

Total War Warhammer 2
I just ended my Sisters of Twilight campaign and I'm on my road to 1k hours on it. My next Campaign will probably be Gor Rok on Mortal Empires.

Divinity: Original sin 1 & 2
Just completed the game 1 for the first time, and loved it! I'm starting a new campaign now on game 2.

That's great news! Since the long time it took to port The Warden & the Pauch DLC to Gnu/Linux I switched my install to use proton (which works nicely), but with the native version up to date I'm thinking in going back to native version.

Quoting: ZlopezWhen the enemy faction is travelling in your territory and you declare a war on them, you are the bad one.

I didn't realised that. AFAIK declaring war on a faction which relations are bad doesn't reduce your reliability.
Quoting: ZlopezI didn't know the Feral didn't ported it yet. I'm surprised, they usually follow very quickly after release.
I agree, on the other DLCs they taken one or 2 weeks to do the port. Hope they're doing ok.

I'm still playing Total War Warhammer 2. Just hitted 750 hrs on it last week. Playing as Tomb Kings now. I'm also playing Divinity: Original Sin Enchanced Edition and I'm loving it. Already got Divinity: Original Sin 2 and and teamed up with friends to do a 4-player coop on it.

Edit:
One sad thing I must add is that I'm using proton to play Total War Warhammer 2, since the GNU/Linux version of it is outdated, doesn't even have the warden & the paunch DLC.

Changing a little the subject, how's NAVI support for Gnu+Linux? I remember that was alful at release.

This is mostly a greenskins DLC, they needed a overhaul a lot. Counting the days to play it.

Here's my list, *not* in order of most played:
Total War warhammer 2: after 140 turns without achieving expansion as Skarsnik I'm trying to make a mod to increase the chance of mushroom-addicted lords and heroes. i also started a darks elves vortex campaign with Malekith.
Playing a lot of the witcher 3 and loving it!
Left 4 dead 2 with friends.
And rediscovered Age of Empires 3.

I stopped playing GTA 5 online, now playing The Witcher 3 and Total War Warhammer 2, the last one playing with Skarsnik on mortal empires. Loving both games.
