Dying Light Released For Linux, Some Thoughts, You May Want To Wait
28 Jan 2015 at 6:02 pm UTC

So i found out that the AMD Phenom 2 1100T six core, will load the game on windows, but not on Linux. So i am very certain now that the issue for that is the SSSE3 flag when the Binary was built. Just like Tropico 5. Anyone else here have a Phenom 2 1100T that they can verify this on?

Thanks

So i think we are dealing with a binary that is built to support SSSE3 again, like we did with Tropico 5. My 6 core (AMD Phenom 2) @ 3.2ghz wont load the game what so ever. My laptop with the Intel i5-3210M Quad Core @ 2.5ghz, will run the game. I do suffer from low FPS on the Nvidia GT 640M 2GB. I am hoping that they fix their binary like Kalypso did with Tropico 5, so we could use our AMD phenom 2 processors. I dont see how a Phenom 2 six core couldn't handle this game. Hell i haven't even seen the entire Linux System / Desktop use more than two cores. Also it seems to play everything else amazingly.

I get nothing..nothing starts up at all. I have re-checked game cache, and still it doesn't do anything. Tried running it through terminal...nothing. I dont know whats going on. Does anyone know where the .cfg files are?? or where it would even spit out .log files?

System Specs:

Linux Mint 17.1 64bit Cinnamon Edition.
AMD Phenom 2 six core @ 3.2ghz

AirMech, A Free 2 Play MOBA Looking For Linux Testing
12 Jan 2015 at 4:45 am UTC

Tried it on Linux Mint 17.1 64bit Cinnamon Edition, and was getting the following error.

"./AirMech ./AirMech: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.20' not found (required by ./AirMech)"

So i updated my gcc by doing this.

add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade

Game started up just fine after that.
