Metro 2033 Redux & Metro Last Light Redux Launch On Linux, Sorta (UPDATED)

Quoting: volkerholthausDoesn't anyone start the game with primusrun (Bumblebee) and the latest nvidia driver. If i try this, i get an segmentation fault.

Regards

Volker
I used to use primusrun with bumblebee until the option to make Nvidia run all the time was released. Either way, you can toggle between Intel and Nvidia cards in the nvidia settings window. You just have to restart Xorg each time you switch. Ive had better luck with it.

Metro 2033 Redux & Metro Last Light Redux Launch On Linux, Sorta (UPDATED)
12 Dec 2014 at 5:37 am UTC

I get the Almighty Segmentation Fault right at the Deep Silver logo on Metro 2033 Redux, but i have no issues with Metro Last Light Redux...

./metro
Setting breakpad minidump AppID = 286690
Steam_SetMinidumpSteamID: Caching Steam ID: 76561197976761994 [API loaded no]
Segmentation fault

Doesn't work by launching it from steam either.

I put it in the technical issues forum on steam, so hopefully someone will get back to me.

Quoting: leillo1975
Quoting: PlayXIf you have problems with sse4 try to edit the updater.blk and change
tag:t="" to tag:t="dev-stable"
it tssems there is an binary without sse4 need.

EDIT: Now the game works in fullscreen when I execute "./aces".
