I wonder, what Autodesk® had done to piss these guys off so much that they openly started undermining its dominance by supporting the direct competitor?

Tried the demo approx. a year ago (it is very outdated by now). Would probably get it on itch.io, but on Steam? No way.

First "Supraland", now this. The story is basically the same: a developer lamenting about low GNU/Linux sales and me being completely uninterested in the games in question (would not even know about them if not for the news on this site).
Maybe the problem is in myself, but I am kinda stocked full on low-profile indie games (even more-so with regards to "retro"-styled pixellated ones) and want something modern-looking.
Still, a bitter taste in my mouth: I am almost feeling guilty the GNU/Linux sales are low, while my money gets wasted on some Windows-loving scammers like ArtPlay/505Games (of "Bloodscammed" fame) or Ice-Pick Lodge. :dizzy:
Not my year, probably. If things go the same way I will end up buying "X4: Foundations" at full price. :(

Epic Games' Tim Sweeney talks Linux and gaming some more, says Linux is "great"

Microsoft is in its full rights to do what it thinks is best for the platform. If Sony is allowed to fully control all distribution channels, Apple is allowed, Nintendo is allowed… then why Microsoft must not be allowed to do so? It is in its full right to kick out parasites like Epic Games Store from its own platform and the only thing that prevents it from doing so is users' opinion.
That's why Timmy is whining on every corner about some "freedoms", trying to arouse users' sympathy to his humble company. Meanwhile, he thinks it is a good idea to squeeze out from the market the other parasite^W khmm… competitor with exclusivity deals (talk about freedom to choose the market store, yeah  ).
Timmy is the worst kind of liar. A hypocrite, double-faced one, pretending to be "good" while practicing the same methods which he verbally vehemently against of.
IMO, of course.

Quoting: TimmyWhat are those rights? I think it’s the user’s right to install software of their choosing from sources of their choosing, developers’ right to release software on their own, and competition among stores.Lots of running around the bush. What Timmy did not find strength to speak aloud is his right to sell games for a Windows™ platform without Microsoft's permissions or royalties (like with Apple, Sony or Nintendo).

Ewww… Has anybody told them that their game is not exactly super-mainstream either?
What can be said? Good luck with your Windows sales, perhaps?

Too late, AMD. I already have gotten hold of "GTX 1660 Ti" (for $300, VAT included). Works flawless out of the box. Not that you can provide anything decent in the low/middle segment right now.
But that R7 3700X sure looks delicious. Will most probably get it later, when the situation with B550 motherboards will be more clear. ^_^

Sadly, now "Pathologic 2" is broken (no video output: only the decorated cursor and black screen). This probably concerns other Unity3D games as well (don't have any others), so it is switching back to 4.9 for me (which works as intended).

Quoting: emphyIt did? Wow! Didn't know that. Last thing I heard was the studio had effectively dissolved. It's been a while since I had returned to that game (it was one of the first purchased games after my switch to GNU/Linux).Quoting: Alm888...Funny you mention Aquaria, one of the few exceptions that prove the rule, since it's been open sourced for years:
Lots of native closed-source Linux games, like "Aquaria" (which developers went defunct)

This is a gaming site, so… what does it mean for games?
No more legacy 32bit WINE games (almost all of my WINE collection and 95% pre-2010 Windows™ games)?
Lots of native closed-source Linux games, like "Aquaria" (which developers went defunct) rendered unusable? Who will make Snaps for those?
Dropping 32bit support is foolish, IMO. My condolences to "*buntu" users. :(
